Thursday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Colgate Shaving Mug Soap Semogue SOC GEM Frankenskeene Sha-Ve-Zee SE CWR Thayers Peach WH Florida Water I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Colgate Shaving Mug Soap face-lathered well with the Semogue SOC brush. I did two passes with the GEM Frankenskeene Razor with a Sha-Ve-Zee SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Picked up this Valet Auto Strop utility knife/cigar cutter yesterday at a junk store. I have a few others that are in better shape. This one will be my EDC. That is a vintage Auto Strop blade.
Thur 21st June Omega 10005 Faena Sandalwood Mongoose B3 Schick Proline [ 3 ] Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion Have been having a good spate of great Shaves, with varied Razor types not sticking to a standard Rotation. Knew I was on to a good one as the rarely used Faena produced such a rich cream lather, it was most unlikely that any Razor/ Blade combination could do anything but deliver a good Shave. As I am long retired I have no need to rush so am pleased to report that not only was the Shave trouble free, but up there with the real good ones too.
Pre: Cold water face wash Brush: Vulfix 404 Boar/Badger Soap: B&M Rosemary & Peppermint Razor: Cobra Classic Blade: Schick Proline P Post: Cold water rinse, AV Ice Blue ASL My first use of a Barrister & Mann soap and I'm very impressed indeed. It's easy to dial in, plenty of cushion, plenty of slickness and v.good post shave. I like the scent too, when lathered the rosemary becomes more evident and I've now got a hankering for loin chops. Using DEs for five days in a row is probably four days too many but it makes me appreciate a fine SE even more. My skin's, soft, smooth, and smelling medicinal. Happy Shaving one and all.
This is my favorite 1912 - seems like its a chrome finish and I LOVE the look of the handle - this was a cheapo and cleaned up so awesome.. 6/20/2018 - SHAVE OF THE NIGHT............... Fri. 6/22/18 Good morning friends. Fantastic three pass shave today with the Schick N1 fitted with a twin blade. Marvelous lather from the Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements 1K shave soap. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️
Fri 22nd June Omega 11126 Speick Active soap Schick E2-Camada Schick Proline [ 8 ] Pitralon Original A/S Lotion Though aggressive this E2 is a lot milder than its American cousin. I found that today I had to work quite hard to get an ultra close Shave, probably time for a blade change. At least I did not have any mishap/or post Shave problems.
