26 June 2018 Ho Hum, just another effortless 2 pass, minor touch-up, BBS shave. Third shave in with this kit, four more to go this week.
SOTD June 26th Gold Dollar 66 Shumate 3o @Jayaruh Woody w/ Gem Stainless Palmolive Classic shave stick Satin Tip The Purest Another day of edge testing. Right side with the GD66 left with the Shumate. Both were very nice, able to wipe away the lather and whiskers without hesitation. I think in a general sense that I would like my edges to be a bit crisper. I don't know if this means I should spend more time on the finishing stones or more time in the lower grits. Did my first full WTG pass with the straights and saw no blood. Then I did a clean up pass with the Woody which proved to be a very exceptional blade holder. I was surprised that the optional angle was a little bit off the "clip". Have a great day my friends!

Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Silver Blue in the Maggard V2 Open Comb. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Reef Point Submariner aftershave. Bob
Schick G4 Personna 74 blade WD Silver Tip brush Palmolive Mentholated SC Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Barbasol Brisk A/S w/added menthol Day #19 and what an abrupt change! Big drop off in performance and feel, still ended up with a fine shave but really had to work at it. So, I think I'm done with this set up. Sure worked well till today and I feel the Personna 74 is a superior blade that I pushed to the end. To bad they're no longer produced. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Perfect shave today, with a 1/2 Hollow grind, heavy razor. 3 days of growth mowed down, in two passes. Silky smooth shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues, and zero burn with the aftershave. Perfect.
