  4. It's my favorite Bay Rum now. It surpassed my previous set that I put together. I am craving it again. I bought the big jug of it. I will deploy it again on Tuesday. I kept the original cork that came out of the jug just so I could smell the scent whenever I'm at my fragrance shelf. The stuff is addicting to smell. And it's potent. I can't believe he's selling an EDP spray. It must be nuclear strength because the aftershave is plenty strong and lasts.
  5. I really like it, different than the norm on the market. My favorite is still Dominica followed by Meehans

A wonderful start to the weekend and to hell with the warm sunny weather, I needed a sandalwood fix and TOBS is probably my favourite.
Talking of favourites, I may have just found a boar brush I like as much as the Omega 11137, although the SOC is a lather hog at the moment.
    Have a great weekend everyone.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The PSC Caffeinated Shave Cream face-lathered well with the Semogue SOC brush. I did two passes with the Gold Dollar 7/8 straight and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Cool and Comfortable
But no very close. The R4 plate has certainly tamed the feather blade at the cost of a less smooth finish. The Cool aftershave was very welcome on what will be a very hot and humid day (feels like 107)

Peter Charkalis gave me this one-of-a-kind soap about a month ago because I'd expressed a desire to have an Aventus-type in his outstanding goat milk and lanolin base. He doubted there would be much demand for another Aventus-type soap. I suspect he's gotten a few more requests because he recently announced Spartacus will be made available to the masses as soon as he finishes whipping it up. You may have a few similarly scented soaps in your den, but odds are you don't have one that performs like this.

Well now, this morning's shave wraps up a fine string of seven shaves with these old friends. Basic hardware & software that perform well together. Now, off to the den to select next week's software.
