  6. I filed that line for future reference. It could come in handy around here. :happy102:
  7. Well, the man was just a genius.....we don't know the history of his will power. :)
  8. I give up, I will never catch up on this thread this month. I have been trying to follow, but struggling. I started my new job, and don’t have as much time to look at the site at work. I also have been trying to focus on my health a bit, and have been walking 5-6 nights a week for an hour or two. I have walked 142 miles so far this month. Sitting on the couch reading my phone was the other time I usually catch up on the thread. I’ve lost 30 pounds since April.

Here are the shaves I have taken pictures of since Father’s Day.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks. Please send me. PM me if you finished off any soaps this month.
  9. That is fantastic news Adam. Keep up the good work.
  10. Good for you, Adam! I changed my lifestyle a year and a half ago and I feel like a new man.
    Nice pics!

  13. Congrats, Adam, on the new job, healthy lifestyle changes, and the weight loss. It is great to see you back posting, my friend!
  14. My endeavor for the final half of 2018 is to learn to shave with a straight razor.

I started a day early, because it is Saturday. I'll have some questions for the group in July. I want to try to do this on weekends.

Today... Two strokes per side sideburns to jaw. Felt a little tuggy, not efficient cutting..... probably too shallow of an angle. Finished with a Shick I1.

    Satisfied.
  15. You did start that whole knitted hat craze.

  17. Just for Fun with the Basics June!

    June 30

    Razor - 1947 Gillette Superspeed
Blade - Generic Personna Red (3)
    Soap - Proraso Green
    Brush - VDH Boar
    Post - Alum

Final shave for June and it's a Basic shave with the '47 SS, Personna and I went with Proraso. I'd put Proraso over VDH in terms of overall quality, but it's not on the level of a Stirling or MWF or something like that, so there you go. Can't complain though as it produced its usual great lather and the shave ended with the baby in the house! Two passes, touch ups and yep, it's a great finish to the month. Thanks for keeping things moving this month and I can't wait to see what everyone is up to for July! Cinco de Julio baby!! As well as the rest of the usual shenanigans and great shaves!

For the final patent drawing - a Kokem barber pole. With a fat ghostly reflection in it.

  18. Thanks! It was a shame about Uncle Joe Don drowning during the bobbing for pigs feet contest.

And congrats on the 30lbs, that's pretty impressive.
