Post shave duties were taken care of by Chatillon Lux.. yeah quality from start to finish!! Thursday. I'm not gonna push this blade any longer, as it has proved itself to be worthy of a bulk buy, when I can get my hands on some more... post shave is the usual Santal Auster Post-Shave Salve, simply because I love it so much, and Nemer is my fragrance of the day, because I'm worth it.. ;-)
Saturday, June 30 Barrister & Mann (?)~~Semogue Mistura~~'47 Super-Speed~~Personna 74 (3) Have a great day!
Good morning guys - here we go with another face freeze! Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/new Wilkinson Stirling Glacial Margaritas in the Arctic SS Stirling Glacial Unscented ASB B+M Arctique AS Splash Eau Sauvage EdT A wonderful shave which I enjoyed immensely - this is my honest opinion: The Cryogen soap is extremely cold but the way the Stirling Glacials are now just as cold, if not slightly colder and not only that - they lather much better and easier with beautiful discernable scents and perfect skincare whereas the Cryoge has no real scent and I find it dries my skin badly. The Glacial Unscented balm once again soothed my face and gave me a great cooling effect which the Arctique magnified many times. Have a lovely day!
I think your the 1st person I've seen use this soap. Have you had any lather issues? Picked up a tin of the Charcoal black soap from a recent trade and can't get a stable lather from it (might be due to the olive oil content) but would appreciate any insight you may have on how to make this soap work.

Nice shave Karl. We know you're a big lavender fan. I have a lot of lavender soaps too, including the Chatillon. How does it rank with you?
I do like Lavender. The Chantillon has a nice aroma and provides a fantastic lather. But, it is also soft - close to a cream - and goes very fast. When the tub was new there were some small pieces that would break off onto the brush as well. It’s a bit of a splurge given how quickly it gets used up. Still searching for the perfect one...

Truly amazing, The bad thing was my near panic attack driving, wow it is scary looking down the side of the biggest mountain in the north east. on the way down u are on 1st gear pumping the brakes the entire time. I understimated the journey!
I also had issues with ogalla pucks when I was starting, I was using too much water and trying to bowl lather . but now I get lather bombs, not the slickest but just a powerul bay rum scent that fills the bathroom. key thing is NOT too much water, I take a boar and soak it, than squeeze it until no more water drips , than I load the puck, slowly add drops of water , add water without making bubbles.than face lather and I dip the brush tips in water slightly if it feels dry, I never bowl lather ogalla , not good for bowl, but best for face lather

Just for Fun with the Basics June! June 30 Razor - 1947 Gillette Superspeed Blade - Generic Personna Red (3) Soap - Proraso Green Brush - VDH Boar Post - Alum Final shave for June and it's a Basic shave with the '47 SS, Personna and I went with Proraso. I'd put Proraso over VDH in terms of overall quality, but it's not on the level of a Stirling or MWF or something like that, so there you go. Can't complain though as it produced its usual great lather and the shave ended with the baby in the house! Two passes, touch ups and yep, it's a great finish to the month. Thanks for keeping things moving this month and I can't wait to see what everyone is up to for July! Cinco de Julio baby!! As well as the rest of the usual shenanigans and great shaves! For the final patent drawing - a Kokem barber pole. With a fat ghostly reflection in it.
