Doc Ezlovan did a nice job of blending the lemon&orange colors in the aftershave(I should say, he and whoever else helped).

SOTD July 1st REX Ambassador (4) Dorco ST-301 (3) Simpson's CH2 Synthetic Oleo Soapworks Empire soap and AS A rare weekend shave for me but my wife and I were going out to brunch with some friends and I wanted to look and smell good. This Oleo Empire soap uses the canard base and it made a very creamy, smooth, slick lather. The scent was great with the familiar bergamot type cologne scent but with some sweet florals mixed into the top. For those interested this scent is a dupe of Dior Sauvage. The AS had a good amount of menthol which felt good on the face but overpowered the scent. By the time the menthol faded so had the florals which just left me with the familiar bergamot cologne type scent, which lasted a good 3 hours. The makeup of the AS is very similar to Fine Accoutrements in that there is only water, alcohol, fragrance, and menthol, so there is no skin hydrating element. All in all a very good shave but the Dorco was starting to fail so it wasn't as smooth as it could have been. Have a great day my friends! Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
RECENT SHAVES Prep: pre shave soap mix Razor: Gillette Kahki OC Set Blade: Gillette Black Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft Soap: Gustafsons Blue Bayou Post: MLSW Kraken A/S Milk Excellent shave with Blue Bayou. This is a mix of lavender and cedar EO that smells fresh and invigorating. soap is made by Square One Soapworks which is criminally underrated IMO. Lather is nice and dense, post shave is on point, and finished off with no irritation. Couldn't ask for more. Prep: Occams Crushed Lime Pre shave soap Razor: Colonial General Blade: Gillette Black Brush: Fine Angel Hair Synthetic Soap: Van Yulay Arabian Nights Post: VY Arabian Nights balm This was a rough shave any way you look at it. Lather was slow making and seemed to lack cushion. Luckily there was no burning from this soapas it is a cinnamon spicy type, but the balm burned like Dante's Inferno. The blade gap on this razor seems to be uneven as one side was smoother than the other. Have had mixed results with this razor and don't know what to think. Shave was not very close and had some serious irriration that got worse due to the heat and humidity. Prep: Musgo Real Classic Razor: Gillette Fay Handle Tech Blade: Super-Max Stainless (1st shave) Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft Soap: Tiki Lime Post: Stirling MITA Balm Was surprised by the results from today's shave due to the damage caused yesterday, but things went well. Tiki vegan formula works great for my skin, despite the short ingredient list, this stuff has soothing post shave and slickness. Scent is a traditional lime that IMO is a bit light so it can be paired with almost anything but I went with Stirling MITA to keep that citrus vibe going. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shavez!

July 2018 July 1 Razor - 1918 Gillette Old Style Blade - (1) Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Brush - Jayaruh #54 Post - Alum Well, July has arrived and in four days the popsicle sticks will come out to play in our annual Cinco de Julio celebration! I decided to honor the tradition by spending the month with all aggressive razors/blades etc. So, expect to see a lot of my Fatip, the Adjustables wide open (including the Futur clone), some shavettes and, of course, pain sticks. Should be a fun month. Going to start it up with the 1918 Gillette Old Style with a Sharp Star blade. Aggressive 100 year old razor with a sharp and excellent Russian blade - no better way to start. The JR54 and the Fat for lather that is absolutely perfect and two passes and touch ups later I'm as smooth as a baby's butt. Yep. We call that the BBS. Nice! Alum was quiet so all's well at Cartel HQ!
