  2. The knot is original as for as a know. I have had it for some years now. It is labeled "best badger" put it performance is that of the uber soft 60's "super" style knot even with the few black tip hairs mixed in. The loft is set so it is not to floppy.

Hadn’t used an Artist style razor and blade in a while, so out came “The Brute” or the Claymore as most know it by. I know, it’s ugly, heavy and not very appealing to the eye. But Sweeeet Jesus! This thing can shave your gonads off. An exhilarating and satisfying 2 pass shave paired with the Proline that was exquisite. Yup, it shaves with the best out there, period. Them Scots have made a hell of a razor. Sir William Wallace would have been proud. Have a great evening and great shaves Gents....:eatdrink047:

    July 5

    Razor - Fatip Piccolo
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
Soap - Oleo Soapworks El Caballero
    Brush - Jayaruh #54
    Post - Alum

I did an early afternoon head shave today just to get it out of the way. With a two week growth I grabbed my Kai pain stick and Kai Captain Original blade. There is no better way to clear two weeks than with a pain stick. Took it nice and easy and got down to cue ball status with no blood or other problems. Always fun to do a pain stick head shave. Don't know why more don't try it!

For the regular shave tonight I stayed with the Fatip and Kai blade. Went for the El Caballero soap which is definitely growing on me with each use. Very nice and spicy scent and the slickness is there. Two passes and some touch up keeping a light touch on the razor and my mind in the game and another baby showed up without incident. Alum was mostly quiet so it was a great shave. I'll be hitting the mean streets in a little bit and I look good for all those hot (?) drunk chicks who need a ride home from the bar. You can never look good enough for fall down drunks. Have a great night!

  14. RECENT SHAVES
    20180702_134143(0).jpg

    Prep: pre shave soap mix
    Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech
    Blade: Super-Max Stainless

    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: Turtleship Pine
    Post: B&M Taiga A/S

This was a rushed shave and as a result was not very close or smooth. Turtleship did protect the skin even under these circumstances and got a surprising small amount of irritation. Taiga kept the pine scent going a bit longer.

Prep: pre shave soap mix, shower with C&E Vetiver bath soap
    Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech
    Blade: Super-Max Stainless
    Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic
Soap: Crown & Crane Deep Ellum
    Post: C&C Deep Ellum Balm

Really like this C&C Deep Ellum set, has a fresh citrus scent that smells like a expensive European EDT like something from D.R. Harris or T&H. Lather whipped up effortlessly. The balm is thick and one of my top picks for skin repair. Body powder is a cool option more artisans should offer IMO.

Prep: shower with C&E Vetiver bath soap, pre shave soap mix
    Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech
    Blade: Super Max Stainless
    Brush: Yaqi 26mm Synthetic
    Soap: Dr. Jon's Propoganda
    Post: Dr Jon's Propoganda A/S

Smooth shave this afternoon with Propoganda. Nice scent that is hard to describe, the patchouli blends well with the other notes to create something deep and dark while keeping a modern masculine vibe. Managed no burn from the A/S despite a couple nicks. Hope everyone is doing well and getting the best shaves possible!
