Thank you. I treated myself with the Shulton Lime. I spent a few hours in the yard, and was looking forward to hitting the swimming pool. Unfortunately, it started to rain , lightning , and thunder, just as I finished.
Thanks! It is a tin cereal bowl, but does NOT have a smooth surface - not sure if the metal is wavey - but the certainly the splattered paint left a rough surface with bumps and grooves - so it is perfect to build lather the way I do it. I almost never load the brush on the puck/container - I have so many soaps and don't want to leave open containers all over the place to dry - so I always scoop out product into a bowl and build the lather - I always scoop out too much product and have PLENTY of lather - this also leaves all my containers clean and if I do ever trade or sell - they will be untouched by brushes, I also think this method is the best way to build lather ...
Doug, you're going to get me for this, but I have to say the OS Shulton Lime both WAS outstanding(when it was pretty easy to get)and now IS "out standing somewhere far away where you have to be real lucky to find/get it". (Y'know, like a man who is "outstanding in his field" (chuk yuk)
Proraso Red Soap B-400 Brush by Tom Craftsman Razor Fine Santal Absolut After Shave Have a great day!
You are right. It isn't the easiest to come by, and now pricey when you do find it. I get lucky, at times, and run across some on eBay, for a song. I rarely use it, because of its scarcity.

Karve CB “D” & Derby Premium #1 Yaqi 30mm Tuxedo DG/CL Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli Humphreys Alcoholado Maravilla M&R Rose Water CL Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli A/S splash A really good first shave with the Karve. I acquired this one through the B/S/T on one of the forums as I am still waiting for the one that I ordered a little over a month ago. When this became available, I jumped at the chance in getting it. Feels good in the hands and is nicely balanced. Fit and finish is excellent from top to bottom and the blade fits precisely with zero play or movement. More shaves needed to get a good feel for it but, the first shave was a positive result. Have a great evening and great shaves Gents....
