This arrived today from Bruno at Vintage Scent (169/180). It is the TSN 2018 LE handle with a boar knot. A beautiful brush. I will give it a run tomorrow. The feel of the knot seems to be a littler stiffer than the Cherry Wood SOC and the Taj SOC. I will do a side by side once I get a few shaves on this brush.
Just for fun someone should make little tiki head brushes. https://www.google.com/search?q=tik...ved=0ahUKEwig3-XM5pXcAhUD2oMKHWopBtoQ_AUICygC
Okay, NOW I've tapped out my finds in my new hunting grounds. 1960, first quarter. Took a wrong turn on the way to Walmart and came across a tiny antique/bookshop. This and a Stanley brush was the only thing in the store. Not a big fan of Fatboys myself but when the owner asked $6, how could I pass it up? Adjuster wouldn't move past 4 so when I got home I gave it a quick boil in water + Dawn then sprayed some lube down the neck. Now it's as loose as a goose. A quick polish and here it is.
Very nice! A dimes worth of your time increased the FB by ten fold. That one looks clean enough to trade well. Tapatalk Via Kyocera
My Lemony Orange set arrived. Will take it for a spin tomorrow. They threw in a sample of Glacial Wintergreen bath soap.
Yes! Also sold in a custom tiki bottle. Wouldn't be surprised to learn something like that was done back in the early '60s by some little outfit on Long Island or something.
Today I received a frozen box from Stirling Soap Co. with enough chill to freeze the North Atlantic and sink the Titanic! At the Maggard's meet I bought my first Glacial set - Obsidian and was hooked. So I could not resist the urge to cool down the rest of the summer and add a few more to the den! Terrific haul, Steve! Stirling products are top-notch. I have some of the glacial unscented balm and really think highly of it. Great stuff all around!
