Blah, blah, blah. I already read this propaganda story in Pravda this morning. All I know is that if you really want to up the ante you need to toss your cookies (literally and figuratively) and upgrade to ice cream! Wow. Comments like this make me wish you didn’t already have a CT, Jared. So many possibilities. By the way, I don’t want to get personal, but I’m hoping the fact that you only have one nut to cover isn’t related to an extended motorcycle ride or a horrible motorcycle injury. Cause that’d be funny, sad and ironic all at once.
July 12th Razor: Rex Ambassador (3) Blade: Sputnik (1) Brush: SOC mixed Pre shave: Stirling mentholated Soap: B&M Seville Lucky Tiger face tonic AS: B&M Seville Yet another great shave from the Rex! Two pass with touch up left me near BBS. I bowl lathered with the Timeless bowl for the first time and it did a fine job. The exterior is fluted to aid with the grip. It fits my hand well. At first glance it seemed a little too deep but upon use it was no issue. Nice bowl but it won't replace my Captains Choice. It fits nicely in my dopp bag and I think it will be a great travel companion. Have a great night! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thanks Jason! It is a refreshing splash, providing you like The Sheep to begin with. It’s not nearly as long lasting of a scent as some of their others, which may be a good thing for those around you. It starts out very strong, but fades off fairly fast.
July 2018 July 12 Razor - Soviet Consul Adjustable (9) Blade - (3) Soap - Stirling Gatlinburg Brush - Stirling Two Banded Synthetic Post - Alum Third day on the Consul and Sputnik and.....the Sputnik is consistent for me. In that it gives two great shaves then starts to weaken up on the third. Still a fine performance, but it tends to wear out a bit earlier than other Russian blades - specifically its counterpart from Moscow, the Voskhod. No complaints, though, as I was expecting the change though hoping it wouldn't. I can take Voskies for 4-7 shaves but Sputniks tend to be 3 or 4 at the most for me. I grabbed the Stirling Gatlinburg soap and synthetic brush for the expected great Stirling lather. Can't complain about that at all. Two passes, touch up, a near-BBS is the result and that's just fine. Considering this is my worst shave of the past week and a half - I'm not going to even think about complaining. I'm stoked that tonight is the eve of the meetup, though the main events are on Saturday. Everyone will be arriving tomorrow and thanks to @wristwatchb we will be having an impromptu get together for a few of us tomorrow night. Saturday morning is the main event with breakfast and good times, and then Saturday evening is BBQ heaven, baby. Looking forward to meeting those who are coming and we'll take plenty of pictures to share. Should be a fun couple of days. As Blade Czar of the 30DC Cartel I feel it is my duty to go all Russian for the next three shaves. I'll switch from the extremely usable and effective Consul down to the Mladost - a razor that isn't the worst choice but far from the best when it comes to Soviet engineering. I'll grab a Russian blade of some sort and even use the Start Russian shaving cream AND that pitiful looking Soviet era brush I have. Can't have visitors to Cartel HQ and not roll out the red shaving gear and carpet you know. Pain sticks will follow the Russian weekend.
