SOTD for July 13, 2018 Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Personna Ultra Chrome (vintage) Razor: Personna injector Brush: Omega 10049 boar Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave Easy and comfortable shave with The Fat. Personna injector with vintage Personna blade. This razor is quite mild but these blades are pretty stout and the combination works really well for me. The Omega boar always does a fine job. Have a great day!
Thank you Bruce. It is one of my favorite brushes. I do need to hit it with some aluminum polish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, as they should be. I mean, can you imagine a marching band being led out to the football field by flutes? (No offense, Mr. Jethro Tull).
Thank you, Clint. I think I'm on 25 shaves with the Rex. I think it killed my RAD. Well, maybe, kinda. The Dart gets released tomorrow at noon eastern time. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
July Focus Shave #13 with the Tallow Williams (yes, the bottom of the tub is ever so becoming translucent) and the 2011 Mühle R41. As you cans see, I paired those regulars with some old favorites of mine, the Rubberset 400/3 and the soon to be unavailable Floïd Mentolado Vigoroso I am disappointed that this is being discontinued, but my wife isn't. She finds it too...sweet? powdery? In any case, when this bottle is gone, that'll be that. The Williams is very loadable, seeing that it is extremely well-hydrated. It has become a soft soap. Not nearly a cream, but I can press my finger into it. That's what blooming will do to it. Because of that, loading is a non-issue. I can overload the brush as I did today. The picture above is the loaded brush, but not yet face-lathered. The soap went on a bit pasty, but dipping the bristles solved that problem. Plenty of quality lather for 3+ passes. I am a 2+ kinda shaver. I empty the knot for the ATG pass and apply it with my hand. LOTS of LATHER! The Schick is a comfortable blade and until I lost the angle under my chin, I was able to perform plenty of buffing--- and that with this razor! Heretofore unheard of. Two small weepers later and I was compelled to break out the broken Alum blockette. I really have to replace this now. The edges are jagged. Finishing with the Floïd, I must acknowledge that it is indeed a VERY powdery aftershave. .
Happy Friday, everyone! I considered shaving this morning, but if I do that I won't be able to shave tomorrow. Since I am picking up the Blood on Steel soap and splash sets this afternoon, I really wanted to give it a run tonight. Therefore I am doing my best scruffy nerf hearder impression at the office this morning.
Finger on the mouse, Jim? It's tempting, for sure...but, I think the Karve is going to get the nod for next in line.
