Any chance you're joining us for Cinco de Julio?

  1. Of course. In fact, I save my popsicle sticks for just this occasion!

  1. Thanks Jared!
I don't normally go out for the hunt, nor did I expect to find anything yesterday. I almost grabbed an Old Spice mug and an Ever-Ready (I think) brush.
Depending on the area, antique stores can either be good - or they really think their stuff is worth a ton.
Flea markets, estate auctions, etc....that's where the real deals can be had. Very hit or miss though.

  2. Is anyone else concerned with the speed he had that picture up? It's almost like he collects them. Or am I just being paranoid?
  3. Thankfully Danie’s going to a D3 school with an ear of corn for a mascot.

Swear to God. The Concordia Cobbers. Kernel Cob. They wear corn hats. Their slogan is “Fear the Ear”.

    Nobody’s buying dresses for that.

  5. Denver is basically home to the one, the only, the revered @Bama Samurai so there's always a gravity well pulling us that direction.
  6. I took it off your Facebook page

I also picked up a Gem Jr. and an Ever Ready, which I suppose is also a Gem brand? The latter might not be able to be used. I didn't notice until I got home, it's missing a blade stop. The cap seems to snap down on the blade fairly tight, though.

Can't say that I've ever heard of a Game Day Dress either. You learn something new everyday.

Looks like it's "Go Time" on a website you may be familiar with...;)

  9. That may be even stranger than the Wichita State "Shockers" - who are represented by a walking shock of wheat.
  10. Isn’t it where everyone headed to in The Stand?
  11. I like the brush. The handle very nice with a wonderful feel and heft to it. The knot is breaking in nicely. Honestly, I am not sure it is worth the premium. If I were buying today, I would look at the mixed knot resin handle Semogue.

  18. I see the SLU Billiken made that list and for good reason. There was actually some controversy surrounding him last year when the university redesigned his look and ended up making him look like some sort of creepy demon thing. Oh the life of bad college mascots.

  19. Good school. Not so good at football.

Since she hasn’t even moved in yet, I’m not sure if they are so absolutely cool, that the utter lack of self consciousness vaults them into James Dean, Steve McQueen World, or the complete opposite.

Not putting any chips down on cool.
