I used the Blood on Steel while traveling and it worked fine, back at home it is excellent. It is hot and sticky in Seoul so I used cold water from the tab, if you can call it cold and the lather was slick and wet.

  5. I actually apologize for assigning her to your list of 2018 Tabac Calendar prospects without your approval. Upon further attention, I thought perhaps it was an old photo of Bea Arthur trying to look sexy.

    Razor: Timeless Bronze SB
    Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux (1)
    Brush: SOC mixed
    Pre shave: Stirling mentholated
    Soap: PAA Boomtown Bay Rum
    Lucky Tiger face tonic
    AS: PAA Boomtown Bay Rum

    Good morning, men!

I haven't used the Timeless Bronze since my April focus. What a nice smooth razor! Not bad to look at either. Two pass with touch up, near BBS result. I have been working on skin stretching, it has been a great help with the quality of my shaves, especially on my neck.

I'm a Bay Rum fan and the new release from PAA doesn't dissapoint.

Off to the Mile High Nationals for the day. Mid nineties on metal bleachers. We probably won't make the whole day.

    Have a great weekend![IMG]

  12. Beautiful photo, Jim! Enjoy your day.
  13. Wow, that is incredible. If we could only get you to do that every 7 days, much time could be saved!

  14. Great photo Jim. Are you planning to keep the Timeless polished or let it patina?

A fantastic shave to start the weekend. The Thäter is such a luxurious brush which makes face lathering a true joy. @Drygulch I finished Crabtree & Evelyn West Indian Lime shave cream today. While I have enjoyed the cream and appreciated the thoughtfulness of the gift, I will not be buying a replacement. Since I had time, I went with a traditional 3 pass shave and decided to chase the baby with a 4th pass on my lower right neck. Overall an Epic shave with no drama or irritation. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
  16. Catch up post. A while back I got a cheap Fatboy as a parts razor. The coating don’t set properly, and it was missing the retaining clip. Apparently those clips are impossible to get. So I asked @twhite if he would be interested in trying to make one. He not only made a new one and a spare out of brass, he fixed the c clip that was bent inside the razor. From a few feet away, this razor looks awesome. It opens and adjusts, but isn’t that smooth doing so. When you lock a blade in and go to work, it works just fine. I’m dubbing this my Beater Fatboy, (BFB.) It’s like my beater truck, it’s not perfect but will get the job done. First shave at 7, second shave at 8. The head design on the 195 allows less blade chatter at high settings than the same setting on the Toggle.

And I finally killed off the B&M 42. God performance, and a not bad scent. I won’t be replacing this tub though. If anyone has the 42 soap and now splash, let me know. I have a half bottle of the splash I would like to give to someone who can use it.

Nice post, Adam! I am constantly amazed at the talents of @twhite.
  19. Indeed! Beautiful photo too.
