    Actually you’re correct. Walleye is classed as a pike, but generally when people talk about Pike or Northern, they mean Northern Pike. I generally say Walleye or Northern.

    Walleye are smaller, not nearly as aggressive of feeders, and are as good a meat as freshwater fish gets.

    Northerns get much bigger, are wolverine aggressive, and not as widely appreciated as a food source.

    Love Walleye! (I hail from Cleveland) Ate (tried to eat) Northern once. The bones were impossible. That bottom Northern is scary!

    What more can one add to perfection? Can one? Should one? (I can...;))
    The Williams remains fought me a bit whilst loading. It came un-adhered to the bottom of my Aesop SS bowl
    and swirled around along with my brush. Worked it enough to get a good load, plenty (as usual) for 3+ passes.
    I am not sure about the M&F Polo handle. It LOOKS large, but my fingers gravitate towards the bottom lip,
    making it work smallish. Perhaps that's why I like the beehive handle so.
    Being round in the middle, they allow for     a better grip. I guess that I am a "fingertip" brush-holder. :)
    Nevertheless, the glorious badger knot caressed, scrubbed, exfoliated,     exhilarated my gorgeous puss ;)
    and prepped it for what would be a very nice shave.
    The weird double-blade Personna what's-it-called hinted at a bit of tug. :angry019:
    Sorry Charlie (the tuna, not you @wristwatchb) tugging does not please Primo.
    It now resides in my blade bank, waiting for the ultimate disposal.
    I predict two more shaves with the soap and maybe only one more with the Floïd, which went on lovely,
    moisturized well and left my kisser, kissably soft and BBS smooth.    ​

    Blackland Dart
    Astra SP
    Yaqi Professional (30mm, Battle Cruiser Class)
    Crown King Old Time Lime
    Homemade Lime AS

    First shave with the Dart and it is a deceptively aggressive razor. It's sort of like a Gillette Old Type with its minimal blade reveal and small gap. We all know that's not the whole story though, The Dart sports enough positive blade exposure that you can definitely feel the edge of the blade doing its work. There were a couple of spots, namely on my chin and jawline where the pass felt less then comfortable. I did two passes and ended up with a DFS that would have been BBS but for a couple of spots that could have used a touch up pass.Finishes with a shot of my homemade lime as and have no residual irritation and my face feels great!     Thanks Jim! I'm sure the shaves will get more comfortable as I use the Dart. No one will be saying that this razor is mild!

    I was searching you tube for Dart reviews last night. I came across a new review of the Blackbird by Another Cut Above. He called it a mild razor. Goes to show how subjective all this shaving stuff is.

    Vacation day. Usually I like to mix it up but this week will be a rule, since that’s what I brought. Slim with an Astra SP, Stirling little brudder synthetic, TOBS St. James that was put in a tub previously storing GD flight. Didn’t like the flight scent straight up, but when offset by the TOBS is fantastic. Rocking Chatillon Lux Bon Vivant is the AS all week and smelling good.
    The mountain air and slow relaxing pace is helping MacKenzie and I recuperate a ton. Today’s view from the front porch of our cabin is not too shabby either...
