Last shave with the Woody before I send it to the next stop. Jim,
@Jayaruh , I am glad I got the chance to try this razor. It’s well made and works well. I palm stropped the Treet Special Carbon blade before clipping it into the razor. Software today was first use of Jeeves of Hudson Street Black Tea set I picked up on the way back from the meet up. (I am up to eight varietes of Jeeves soaps, so I may be more of a fan of them than I thought. I do find his soap base to be very easy to use, with a good post shave feel. I’ve also found that his scents seem to be ones I get along with.) I would not have bought this soap without smelling it first. It opens with a clean smell, with just a bit of the sharpness you get when you overbrew a cup of black tea. The overall scent is very light, and very different. The scent description includes black tea, tobacco, citrus, jasmine, amber, white cedarwood, and musk. Aftershave has good staying power, three hours later I am still getting whiffs of it. Razor held the blade well, and my normal three pass shave was followed by some touchup and buffing on my jawline and neck. No blood, and a high grade DFS shave. My only gripe on this razor is a minor one, that technique can overcome. Because it’s so light, it did require some pressure in my trouble spots to get the whiskers.
