Haven’t been around much, but tagging along, mostly. Stole out of work a couple of hours early today, and my wonderful, beautiful wife has agreed to go out and troll crankbaits for walleyes after dark. Oh man did I ever marry the right girl. Gone five nights a week, and even after twenty five plus years, she still wants to go fishing with me on Friday.

    Getting the boat ready.

Hope by morning I have livewell pics.

July 27 - Shaving like the Fuzzter!

    Razor - Kampfe Star LC
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Stirling Executive Man
    Brush - 30DC LE
    Post - Alum

After a fun day of doing a whole lot of nothing besides cooking a slab of ribs over an open fire, then eating said ribs, I found the energy to shave. The Kampfe Star is still up as is the Treet Super Carbon blade. I had taken a shower after arriving back home from the park to get the smell of smoke off of me and used Executive Man bath soap from Stirling. So, I chose the matching shave soap, the 30DC LE brush, and whipped up a fantastic face lather.

The Star went to work with ease on two days growth. It was very noisy, as it likes to be anyway, and very smooth considering what it was doing. I finished two passes with no problems and decided to do a third just to make sure it was all done. That, and I wasn't done playing with the razor for the day. The third pass was also a perfect pass and the baby is home for the night. This razor is just a cool tool to use. I know there are some out there. Now to find one that won't break the bank to call my own. One more day with it so there's another great shave to come I'm sure.

The weekend has officially begun for most of the world! It's ending for me, of course, as tomorrow is my version of Monday. Hope you all have a great Saturday! Hey - try some ribs! I highly recommend them!

Today’s shave was awesome, and kind of scary at the same time. Last two shaves were with the Woody razor @Jayaruh made using a Treet Special. Prior to that combo, I had never successfully shaved with a Gem style SE. I had tried a 1912 and another type, but the only blade I found was an unmarked set at the grocery store, shaving not hardware. They pulled, and whatever coating was on them made my face burn for a few hours. The Treet blade didn’t do that, so I grabbed my box of razors I didn’t want but got in lots with ones I did to see if I had an SE. Actually had two, but this was the cleaner one. Toothbrush, toothpick, and some dish soap and alcohol, and she was ready to go. It’s a GEM micromatic bullet tip that was gold at some point. Third shave on the blade, and my every other shave soap. Three passes, and some buffing. No blood, a little irritation, and a low grade DFS due to the neck.

Would this be shaving like the Fuzzster? I have some Treet Specials in my Amazon cart. The reason I said this shave scared me is that I have completely ignored SE razors. Now I want to check out some others. Good news, there seem to be a ton of them out there in my area, because I didn’t buy them. Bad news, now I want to go back for them.

There was a fresh Mayfly hatch, which just shuts the fishing off completely. No walleyes for Jared.
