Alright, I'm trying my hand at this photo business. Karve Christopher Bradley (C) Rapira Platinum Lux (2) PAA Green Ray West of Olympia Grayscale Al Fin Star Jelly aftershave Had a great 3 pass, BBS shave with the Karve, wow this razor is smooth and efficient. I've decided I'm going to hit the Grayscale really hard and see if I can't finish my first tub of soap. I got the aftershave jelly as a sample with recent brush purchase; I have been using it all week, and have enjoyed it so much a bought a full bottle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Back from Vacay. Not sure if I’m ready to rock the heat and humidity again.Really not sure I want to go back to work again. At least I have more than 1 razor, brush, blade & soap to choose from tomorrow. (Can I say that in this thread?)
I received this in today’s mail. So I ordered a black band for work. On the shaving front, the Karve E & F plates are in Atlanta so they should arrive this week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Coming back from vacation sucks. Going back to work sucks even more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you, Clint! I have a top three: the Ranger Tech, Red Tip, and the 40's Rocket. I am going to try to figure out my favorite the next couple of days.
Nice setup, Scott. I got a sample of the Al Fin Star Jelly also, I'll have to give it a try. Good luck killing off a soap. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thank you Jim. I was really looking for an automatic field watch. I am happy I found something I like.
Thank you. Let me know what you think, I think the smell is amazing and the menthol feels terrific. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
For @NCoxSTL @wristwatchb @Keithmax and all those who now know the value of a great fitting pair of pants. There's old school. Then after that, just school. c@Rt3l4L1fe
Very nice photo and gear! You just gave me more homework. Twice in one day. Now I have to look up Grayscale.
Thanks, Bruce. Im not sure if I want to polish the Karve or not. I have seen some picks of them polished up and they look fabulous. I was lucky enough to pick mine up, before everyone discovered them. You load that baby up with a Permasharp and look out, because your in for the smoothest, efficient, comfortable shave. Between, that beauty, my RR Game Changer and Rockwell 6c my RAD has been cured. I saw the soap on Michael Freedberg's YouTube channel, and had to try it. Managed to snag a tub of Grayscale which was quite a feat. It's almost always sold out, at 12 bucks a tub it might be the best value in artisan soap. I say might because I've never tried Stubble Buster and RazoRock has some pretty great soaps for insanely cheap. I managed to snag the last tub of tobacco and Coffee he had on the website, last week . I really want to get my grubby little hands on tub of the barbershop scent. He also has premium base he is currently making, which I haven't tried, but probably will. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I looked up the Grayscale, and it does sound nice. I’m trying to resist the temptation to order, because it is in stock. Actually, it’s the only soap in stock. He even (in a roundabout way) apologizes for the Grayscale costing $1.00 more than the other soaps. That’s both funny and noble at the same time. I have a Karve on order. No idea when it’ll arrive, but the Rockwell is fairly new to the stable, and there are plenty of others to keep me company in the meantime. Polishing? Nah. Not unless you really enjoy polishing - over and over. They do look sharp polished up, but it’s not a one and done deal. I’m way too lazy for all that. RAD cured? Didja check out the Blackland Dart?
That's how I knew I really bought in to the software no-buy. I saw the Proraso Red at mine two days ago at $3 and passed it by as well. And only felt the very slightest twinge of regret. And that only lasted a moment. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
