Thanks. The bar soap in an actual bath really is the lasting scent effect on this setup. The eau de cologne only lasts but 20 minutes tops. I got the idea of using the bath soap in a bath when I read a review somewhere from a Japanese native who bulk-buys 4711 soap when he travels because it smells so incredible in his bath. I have to agree. I recently got help from PLAla in getting some additional shave soap to help stretch this shaving set out a year or two longer. PAA discontinued "11235" shave soap and have replaced it with "Planet 9", which is a neroli type scent. I wanted to keep the same turquoise blue theme that I originally intended for this set. I really like this setup. The scuttle is fun to use with this. Especially since I have to stretch out the shaving soap as far as I can, having any kind of lather bowl action will help in loading as little soap as possible to create as much lather as possible. So, I had no idea the scuttle would end up helping me in the long run.

July 2018 July 29 Razor - Type E Schick Injector Blade - (1) Soap - Blood on Steel Brush - 30DC LE Post - Alum, Blood on Steel Three shaves left for July and I'm going to finish with the Type E Schick Injector. I have one of these but it is in fair shape at best. However, the one I'm using was brought to the meetup by @CarlfromMO in his giveaway box. The case, razor, and even the blade dispenser are in excellent shape. This is a shiny razor and I wanted to give it a run for its money. Since I obtained the razor at the meetup I pulled out the Blood on Steel soap, the 30DC LE brush and the after shave as well. No reason to skimp. Perfect lather from the limited edition duo and I was ready to shave. The injectors always provide a smooth shave and this one was no exception. I did my usual two passes and decided I wanted more, so it became a three pass shave. I finished that pass with the baby in bed and sleeping and a great face feel from the soap. Alum was quiet, and a small splash of the Blood on Steel A/S provided just a hint of burn and then just plain comfort and aroma. Ahhhhhhhh. That's how to finish a busy Sunday! Monday is quickly approaching! Hope everyone has a great day.

Menthol Monday's Shave Keeping It Simple Shave Week Proraso Jayaruh #309 Alumigoose Feather Professional CWR Osage Rub My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Proraso Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #309 synthetic brush. I did just one pass with the Mongoose Alumigoose Razor on loan from Redfisher with a Feather SS Professional blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
