Adjustable (Arko) Anything Goes and whatever else we decide AUGUST!!!! August 3 Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (9) Blade - (3) Soap - Arko Brush - Stirling Two Banded Synthetic Post - Alum Third and final day on the blade trial for the Personna 74. Slim is on setting Me and the Arko was worked into a fine lather with the Stirling brush. Three passes as usual with a trial and all's well that ends well. In fact, it ended with a BBS. Great way to finish a trial. The blade was smooth except for a couple of instances where I messed up on the stroke. Technique error is the only reason this shave wasn't essentially perfect. But, we know that's usually the culprit. The blade shows no signs of slowing down yet so it's going to keep going. Starting tomorrow I'll start rotating through my other adjustables and soaps with the same blade and see how many days it goes before I decide it's time to change. I'm impressed with the blade as I expected to be. This trial was a bit difficult to judge objectively, based on reviews and everything I've heard about it. Still, that motivates me to try and find the weak spot to take the legend down a notch. So far the legend is holding its own. Fine way to spend three days shaving. The weekend is here (or half over if you're Keith. I don't want to be Keith anymore - the weekend is half gone). Go have some fun!

Good morning to all Second time using my Muhle 41, first time using a feather blade in it. Witch hazle wake up splash Cold shave Preshave Homemade oil mix Face Muhle 41 Blade Feather (new) Head Razorock german 37c Blade Dorco ST 301 (2cd time) Soap Amici Brush Cheap works well Finish shower then Nivea Face WOW this was a strange shave. The first pass pulled like I was using a dull blade but was clean and smooth. The second pass was light and easy. Because of all the tugging on the first pass thought I would have itchy burn. I don't have any at all, none, very surprised. The shave is DF and this combo will be used more. Think I just need to get the hang of it so I will spend more time with this bad boy. Head Got a one pass shave on the blade but could tell there was dulling at the end. Can only get 2 shaves from this blade type but I get a clean one pass. Off to work tp

Last Nights Shave Recently Acquired, Restored(Rat Razor Style), and Honed. I had a terrible 1st pass, until I decided to strop it looser with the CroX strop, Linen, and leather strop(Because of the large bevel). The second pass was silky smooth, and left me with a near BBS shave. She aint purdy, but she drives well. Razor- George Wostenholm & Sons, Celebrated IXL Razor. Washington Works. RECENT SHAVES Prep: pre shave soap mix (mentholated) Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic Blade: Big Ben Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic Soap: Wild West Ann Dunn Post: Mickey Lee Grand Havana balm This was a bit of a rough shave, sometimes I think the brush collects this waxy feel from the soap and the next day it is nearly impossible to get a good lather. Scent of Ann Dunn is wild rose, coconut and amber, Russel does a amazing job with his rose scents in particular and this is no acception. It is medium to light in strength which works well with this type of scent, you definitely know it's there. Finished off with Grand Havana balm which is my 2nd favorite MLSW product behind their discontinued A/S milks. Prep: shower with WTF Taboo bath soap Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic Blade: Big Ben Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic Soap: Grooming Dept Wonderland Post: Mickey Lee Grand Havana balm Had some trouble uploading the pic from this shave, and was in a hurry so the shave didn't turn out that well. Love the scent of Wonderland and despite the rush job it did a great job protecting against any damage. Same goes for the grand Havana balm. Prep: pre shave soap mix Razor: Razorock Hawk SE Blade: Feather Pro Guard Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic Soap: Perfectly Natural Citrus Mint Post: Roman Brio A/S Had a marvelous shave with Perfectly Natural's Citrus Mint. This soap packs a nice menthol punch and the performance is excellent despite the fact this artisan doesn't get much mention on the fourms. Have also tried their Dragons Blood deodorant (which lasted longer than any other deodorant) and they make some nice quality products for affordable prices. Very refreshing shave to start the day. Had a dream that I found Roman Brio on the shelf at a store so decided to go with it. Smells similar to Clubman or Canoe. Prep: shower with Siliski Soaps Floral Bouquet body bar Razor: Razorock Hawk SE Blade: Feather pro guard Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic Soap: Siliski Soaps- Frankincense & Myrrh Post: Siliski Soaps F&M A/S Received a package from Siliski soaps this afternoon. Super fast shipping, I think it was 3 days from ordering to delivery. There is something a bit different that seems to attract me to Siliski Soaps but not sure exactly what it is. Perhaps it is the hidden gem factor, or the simple label/ packaging, or the performance and natural smelling scents. First time with their body bar, the scent is a nice floral and felt moisturizing. Nice scent on the Frankincense & Myrrh soap/A.S. combo. Managed to get a decent shave but did have a few weepers under bottom lip. The aftershave is much different than most and is more of a oil. Surprisingly No greasy feeling at all, smells great, very soothing. The only other A/S product I could compare it to would be Dr. Jon's all purpose oil. I can see myself reaching for this quite a bit, excellent stuff. Hope everyone is in good health and getting A1 shaves!
