Thank you, Jim! You were my inspiration to use Arko after that cool picture yesterday with it and the Schick M. Hope you're relaxing this weekend after the assessment team stress.

Thanks Jim! Second or third time I've topped that mole. Usually a big brown freckle. Now I've got a scab big as a ladybug - . I started talking an 81mg aspirin years ago for the therapeutic effects on us aging folks. Clotting happens, but it takes a couple minutes. Saved me a trip to the dermatologist and the cost of cryotherapy.

Thank you, Perry. It has been a very lazy Saturday, and I plan to keep it much the same tomorrow. I went to dinner with the guests every night this week, so it was essentially like I was out of town. My wife is right on the same page of having a lazy weekend, so we have enjoyed each other's company quite a bit.

Razor - Qshave Futur Clone :)eek:)
    Blade - [IMG] (4)
    Soap - Stirling Sheep
Brush - Stirling Pro Style Synthetic
    Post - Alum, Styptic

Staying with the Personna 74 to the bitter end. I doubt today will be the bitter end given its reputation. Rarely do I go more than 3 shaves on a blade, mainly because they are cheap and I don't want to risk a bad shave for pennies. But...this one needs to be run to the end. I decided to go to the biggest gap of all tonight and use the Qshave on 6 - setting Me on every steroid ever made. I used Stirling Sheep with the Stirling brush for a great mutton powered lather.

Only two passes and some touch up since I'm not in a trial at this point. Besides, at setting OMG on this razor you shouldn't need more. You can hear it working and definitely feel the blade. Too much, in fact, on the set down as I started my XTG pass. I forgot to stay up on the cap on the start of the stroke and put a nice little slice in my cheek near my ear. Took alum and styptic to close it up when I was done. Stupid error, really, knowing how big of a gap I'm dealing with here. I've done the same thing before. It's a habit I need to break.

The finish is a nice BBS with quiet alum except for the cut. So no complaints there. The feel of the P74? Smooth. Just smooth. And I have the bloody result to tell me it's still sharp. Very sharp.

Hope your weekend is going well! We won't mention Keith's tonight. Too close to the end I fear. So I'm not saying anything about it. Nothing. Nada. Mum's the word. :shocked002:

Still in the grips of this record heat wave so SMN is the choice. Two small weepers kept me short of epic. :angry019: I am not sure but think they were pimples, this hot humid weather combined with sun screen :angry032:

Two straight shaves since vacation: yesterday and today. I’ve gotten to the point that I can get a socially acceptable shave with just a bit of stubble on my neck that no-one but me notices. What I’m now realizing is that by resisting the urge to clean it up with a DE, leaving it alone shows me where I missed when it starts growing out again. This allows me to use my finger to simulate a blade and come up with strokes to better shave that area each time. My straight shaves continue to improve.

    General
    Feather Super Pro
    WDC-8 with Druida Manchurian
    Nuàvia Blu

The WDC-8 brush has the same Druida Manchurian knot as my red DK7 brush. However it is set a couple of mm higher giving the knot an entirely different look and feel. The WDC-8 easily whipped a rich slick lather. I decided to change things up from the Karve and go with the brass General. Loaded with the Feather Super blade the General is a very smooth and efficient razor. An ATG & XTG pass followed by touch ups on my lower right neck easily ended in a perfect BBS shave. As @Keithmax says, an "Epic Shave". I don't usually use aftershave with Nuàvia but I mixed things up and went with a splash of Captain's Choice Bay Rum. Off to take Mom to lunch. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
