I have not used my Schick Type-G in a long time and recently loaded it up with a new blade. Such a nice razor...so intuitive in how it handles. I often wonder why I use other razors.
Pre: Cold water face wash, Brush: Omega 11137 Boar Soap: CRSW Bergamot & Bay Razor: E-R 1914 Blade: Gem PTFE Post: Cold water rinse, Benjamin's Mentholated ASL (sample) My third different Benjamin's sample and my least favourite of the three, although I do like them all. The Pimento is the one for me, and if I buy a Benjamin's that will be the one. Happy Shaving one and all.
8/6/18 - Monday night shave 8/7/18 - Tuesday night shave. I used my Rare SCHICK TYPE L with a Purple handle - also this Type L was advertised and marketed for the dames - but its the same as the mans razor - just a purple handle. Used a twin blade wich really makes the Type L efficient. The Twin Blade is also Rare - it is made in the USA but was sold in Canada - I think its from the mid 80's judging from the package and the cardboard is not yellow. This was shave # 1 & 2 - so this new blade was just outstanding.

Good grief - that Schick F is outstanding! Plus, Jeeves Black Tea is an amazing scent. That's a stellar shave, Matt!
Wed 8th Aug RazoRock Syn. 24mm P & B Spitfire ER 1914 [ 12 tooth ] Gem S/S [ 2 ] Pitralon Original A/S Lotion Another Vintage SE Shave, this time with the ER 1914. Though I generally prefer longer handles, I somehow manage to get good shaves with the 1914 without any problems. It is not as aggressive as the Streamline I used yesterday and shaves very smoothly but noisily, and delivers a very nice close Shave. Handled properly these Vintage SE deliver excellent quality Shaves, as good as those provided by their modern counterparts.
Thursday's Shave Clubman Classic Shave Cream Williams Mug Shave Soap Jayaruh #30 RazoRock Black Hawk Feather Professional SE CWR Clubman Pinaud AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. I used Clubman Classic Shave Cream as a pre-shave. It is an non-lathering SC, so I just applied a thin layer before face-lathering the Williams Mug Shave Soap with the Jayaruh #30 brush. I did two passes with the RazoRock Black Hawk Razor with a Feather Professional SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Clubman Pinaud AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
