Up very early this morning in an effort to beat the commute crush. That didn’t happen. Everyone else must have had the same thought. At least I was able to start the morning on a positive note. Cambridge & Oxford was easy to lather and has a nice subtle scent. Three passes and minimal touch ups just missed the baby. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

Very cool photo, Clint! Hope you're able to sail through the day without issues - now that you made it through the commute, anyway.

If you'd like to try a nice shaving cream, the Taylor of Old Bond Street creams are some of my favorites. They perform great, and they're relatively inexpensive.

The Jabonman Eufros artisan soaps made in Barcelona are great as well. You can email Manuel Garcia at Magafe_es@Yahoo.es to see what he has available. These are more expensive, though.

Not many people have them because they have a reputation for being floppy and/or pillow soft, but I also like the UK-made Kent badger brushes.

    Good morning!

Very nice shave to start the day! Hardware and software performed admirably.

I just got a text from the wife, she is at her gate. I'm excited to get her back home. I better clean the kitchen.

    Happy Friday! [IMG]

    Adjustable August Focus

In compliance of the focus parameters, I am using my Merkur Progress (short-handle) adjustable Razor.
Setting today is: "All the way tightened down"

Looking at the dial, the dot is over the 5+. Tomorrow, I will set to "1".
Getting the synthetic hair to "give" and/or "splay", especially with such a small bowl, is a challenge in and of itself.

"Springy" is the best word I can come up with. However, when properly coaxed, the CH2 delivered.
Lucious I Coloniali lather. Ethereal in aroma. Just a smidge of menthol, keeps it real.
    To the shave.
There's a reason I don't choose the Progress much of the time; I don't care for it.

Can I get a great shave with it? Certainemant, mes Frères.
Tricky angle today. Barely any blade exposure and, before those "he-man-woman-haters" chime in and say such a setting isn't aggressive enough, or can't slice through my extra-tough man hairs, I got bit on a, as @Linuxguile likes to call it, bad set-down. Razor blades are darn sharp, especially this uncommonly-good Personna 74 Tungsten---now on its 11th shave.
After discovering the correct angle, I was able to get a BBS in 3+.

The channels in the safety bar region of the shave head are cumbersome to clean. Bad design.
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver finish...mic drop.

Terrific photo and report, Joseph. Your shave reports are quite interesting and informative, as well as funny and light-hearted. I enjoy them!

Thank you Bruce. Usually Friday morning is the best commute of the week. Not sure what happened this morning. At least work has been going very smoothly thus far.
