  1. That is good information. Others have suggested the same theory. :thanks: I appreciate your input.

Another day another new to me French soap and this time it's one I've purchased and it didn't come cheap.
Okay it did, very cheap in fact, £2.20 for 125g.
Okay, okay I had to buy some other things to make the postage worthwhile and I'd never eaten Rillettes before so what the heck! As I always say: in for some soap in for some slow cooked shredded meat.
Okay, okay, okay, I've never said that before in my life but you get the idea.
Well I'm very impressed with the soap and the Rillettes are delicious so money well spent, a face well shaved and a palate delighted.
Talking of money well spent, the Epsilon ASL is very nice indeed.

    Outstanding
I needed no pre shave treatment today. MdC took care of everything, and Reserve Lavender handled the post shave duties very well.

  9. As I gazed out over the backyard on a soon to be hot summer day this morning, I suddenly felt a chilling arctic wind, and on it came the howling of hungry wolves.

My decision was made. Cryogen soap and aftershave, Wild West Brushworks Chiller two band badger brush for a cold water lather creation and application, and then the edge - a Friodur Inox 7/8 half hollow stropped and sizzling sharp.

    Winter is coming.

    Silver Star blade
    Maison Lambert Silver Tip brush
    VeraSoapCo Peppermint SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Pinaud Citrus Musk cologne

Very easy and nice shave. The Star combo worked well together and everything else cooperated too. All is well and my face is happy. Now go enjoy your dad folks.

  16. Thank you very much. Mr. Carey was my grandfather. You can call me Doug or Douglas just don't call me late for dinner. :happy102:
  17. I will remember that, Douglas.

Unfortunately I've never tried Floid Blue.
  20. Hopefully someone who has tried both will chime in soon. I really like Floid Blue myself.
