The first thing that struck me with this sample was the sublime scent, and when lathered the scent softens and becomes even nicer.
I found it easy to lather, not something I can say about many samples, and the lather was very nice, cushioning and slick.
Where it falls down for me is the post shave. I don't find it drying but nor do I find it nourishing.
I may be tempted to buy a tub for the scent alone. It is expensive initially but because you only need a little to create a rich lather it probably works out cheaper than some.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

Today had a rather nice Shave, felt the blade had smoothed out after previous outings. An excellent
lather from the Faena, which responded well to being activated by the 404, which is proving to be a useful little brush.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #270 brush. I did two passes with the RazoRock Black Hawk Razor with a Feather Professional SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Another day another new to me French soap and this time it's one I've purchased and it didn't come cheap.
Okay it did, very cheap in fact, £2.20 for 125g.
Okay, okay I had to buy some other things to make the postage worthwhile and I'd never eaten Rillettes before so what the heck! As I always say: in for some soap in for some slow cooked shredded meat.
Okay, okay, okay, I've never said that before in my life but you get the idea.
Well I'm very impressed with the soap and the Rillettes are delicious so money well spent, a face well shaved and a palate delighted.
Talking of money well spent, the Epsilon ASL is very nice indeed.

Nice report! I have the Epsilon Blue aftershave as well. It's quite a deal for the price with that huge bottle. I like it pretty well but SWMBO isn't the biggest fan.

    Thanks.
I only bought the 100ml bottle to test the waters but I'll be back for more.

Ah, the only option I saw was the 500ml. It was $23.95 at Maggards Razors for the huge bottle. That's an incredible deal for aftershave.

I don't know if you can get the 100ml bottles over there.
It is a very good price, not to be scoffed at.

Decided to use a safety razor tonight instead of my normal straight razor shaves. While deciding on what razor to use I saw this razor, and it just called to me, begging to be used. 3pass DFS
    Kampfe Brothers razor
    C O Bigelow shaving cream
    Boar brush
    Clubman aftershave[IMG][IMG]

This was my second shave with this scent from Oleo and I like it quite a bit, great performance as well! Two pass DFS after a busy day.[IMG]

    Alu. General + S/S Handle
    Schick Proline [ 4 ]
    Tuff Green A/S Lotion

Todays Shave made me change my mind about getting rid of the Alu General. Since teaming it up
with this S/S Handle I have been enjoying its use more, and with a great lather today got an excellent Shave. Smooth, Comfortable with a close all round finish.

Was my first use of the Citra Royale, and the summery scent was much more noticeable than in the
Arran Aromatics Bay Citra and the lather easier to produce. The latter is probably for the bin, but not the wooden bowl it lives in.

Decided to finish the working week with a flourish.
The Fine soap doesn't get enough use, the Streamline has nudged my other vintage SEs to one side to take pole position - loaded with my favourite modern blade , the Thater brush is a dream to use and finally, the Floid Black has grown on me and complements the soap nicely.
    Happy Shaving one and all.
