Kickin' it up a knotch Today Hot Water wash Alpha T-400/ silvertip The Shave Den iced Florida Water Type Ikon SBS (crosshair exposed)/Ikon bulldog handle Rapira (2) Iced Atomized L&M Florida Water Today I kicked it up, a new razor on the second use. This thing is heavy. I feel it akin to using a wedge straight. It was rigidly quiet. A little concentration to listen to make sure the angle remained correct (the head geometry being so different, being on track wasn't automatic). But I've been rewarded will some very good shaves. Today's was near, if not, perfect. The are options to explore with this flippable razor, but so far, the open comb side of the crosshair exposed seems to give me very close results. The extreme weight is novel as well. A new twist, I'm liking the combo so far. The rest of the elements performed very well, especially the T-400. I felt very fortunate. Hope y'all did as well, or better.

Excuse my ignorance, but ... what is Iced Atomized L&M Florida Water ? Florida Water with a lot of menthol added ? Please give me the "recipe", if any ... ;-)
L'ESSOR SE/Gem. I used a carbon for my beard, the PTFE for the head shave. The face shave was particularly good, as I've found with all the wedge blade razors I've used, going ATG on my head is better accomplished with an MMOC or such. Still, no complaints, a beautiful razor.
One bottle Florida Water 10-12 medium sized chunks of menthol crystals (assuming a large piece is 1/2 long by 1/8 wide, medium would be 1/4) Drop them in, shake. The pour into any sprayer that suits you. If the menthol is too strong, mix in more florida water til your happy.
SOTD August 18, 2018 Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: GEM PTFE Razor: Superior Lather Catcher Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic Soap: Palmolive shave stick Post: Witch hazel, Brut aftershave Budget software with an antique razor. Superb! Enjoy your weekend.
Start low, add until satisfied. You can always add, removal is more a trick. If i get it too cold. It's normally ok, but i don't like to overrun the scent with menthol smell. If the base is inexpensive or readily available it's easy to add more. But i overdid pinaud vanilla, i regret using so much. Sorta deminished the vanilla, pity. That one wasn't expensive, but i ordered it mailorder.

Nice Eclipse! I really enjoy using that razor. I think she's a real beauty that provides a great effortless shave. Steve
Nice photo and gear. I would say the SBS is the most aggressive razor I own. It probably is also the most tricky and different for me to use. The geometry is so different and it is very heavy. I'm glad you have been enjoying it. Steve
