SEptember is approaching and I got the itch. I took a break from the straights for a wonderful shave with the Israeli knock off of the Personna Floating head. Wonderful.

My second consecutive Shave with the ATT SE-G and base plate that has been modded by a fellow Shaver.
Previously had been nothing but an expensive Paper Weight- yes really poor and not what I would expect from ATT. Now extremely smooth and efficient.

With a good lather and by not rushing, I not only had a comfortable Shave but was rewarded with a Face Strikingly good all round finish. In terms of performance this tweaked ATT, is now up there with my favourite Vintage ER Se Razors, on a par with my Streamline but not as aggressive. I could quite easily use it as a Daily Shaver. The downside is the fiddly blade loading process which is poor compared with that of Vintage SEs.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Colgate Shaving Mug Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #312 brush. I did two passes with the Supply Provision Razor with Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

Smooth shave with the M1 on setting 8 with a vintage Personna Chrome blade. Comfortable and easy. Have a great day!

 

I prepared one of the seven blades of my new toy, a 7 days set Kindal / CV Heljestrand, arrived yesterday.
Just 50 Go Back on automatic sharpener, to see if the blades arrived SR.
Shave to come.

Another soap sample and another one I won't be buying.
It has the usual very good Wickhams performance but the scent is a bit heavy and cloying imo.

After reading @MntnMan62's comments about mixing MWF with Haslinger and who'd have thought two excellent soaps would produce another excellent soap.
I still prefer MWF but having another soap doesn't hurt.

Very nice photo Matt. Is that the first-time you've used that soap?

 

I'm quite familiar with the Canard base. I was part of the tester group as Vida was developing it. I'm also quite familiar with AdP Colonia. But this is, indeed, the first time I've ever used Shiloh, Oleo's rendition of Colonia.
