Tonight's shave was with a French Beauty. I had a great 2 pass shave, that went smooth as silk, and left me BDBS. Zero issues. These French razors are usually very well made, and a bargain. Razor- Leon Pellaray. Paris France. Brush- JR#262, Birdseye Maple and Ebony. WD Silvertip Badger knot. Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Lighthouse Decanter.
Saturday Straights' Shave Cold Water Wash Colgate Shaving Mug Soap Jayaruh #312 H. Böker 5/8 CWR Florida Water My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Colgate Shaving Mug Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #312 brush. I did two passes with the H. Böker 5/8 straight and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. It was a custom request. He did the woodwork, and I finished it out with, sanding, and several coats of finish. This one and #263 are twins, and some of the best he has done, in my opinion.
