It's Sunday, it's bright and sunny out, so why not initiate the shaving sequence?



First, put on some Aretha singing that good old time gospel. Then reach for the King Shave Flubber Special brush with a 24mm Timber Wolf synthetic knot. Next, apply that brush to a tub of TOBS Grapefruit cream, and lather. Bring an edge to bear in the shape of a WCS Midnight stainless steel, model 84B razor, loaded for bear with a Rockwell Swedish steel blade. Finish with Pitralon Polar. Two passes, and a slick, smooth Sunday clean up job completed.

Just got done with the shave in the late morning after vegging out. Just a 2-pass with minor cleanup. Trying to avoid irritation with limited passes today. The shave came out acceptable, as expected. I wasn't pushing for BBS. The soap was easy to load, the lather worked great and the scent of the Razorock Son of Zues and Fine's L'Orange Noir are a great pairing with Terre d'Hermes EDT. A refreshing summer shave.

Oh.

Be careful around the drains if the screws can come free.

Oh, out of sight! It doesn't glow in the dark, but it should.

Yeah, the Gold Old Type is a tie for my favorite razor. I only consider the Empire 3-piece Old Type to tie it based on looks alone, but the Gold Old Type is a superior shaver now that I found the blade for it (Wilkinson Sword). Once I found the right blade it gives a Tier-1 shave. Among the best shavers I have. And it's really cool looking too with the gold.

I also own a WCS Midnight. With the one shave I've had it was flawless, top tier quality. I used a Treet black carbon blade in it just to find out if they could work together as good as they look together and man, it was a great shave.

Today's shave was with an old Pipe Razor, Wedge. I had a smooth and silent 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. No touch-ups, zero issues. Big heavy razor, with original scales, possibly turtle shell.

Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice
