8/28/2018 Tuesday Razor(s): The Leaf/Plastic `Twig`/ Gillette Guard (cart) Blades: 4- 1/2 DE blades (1,1,1,1) Brush: VDH Badger Lather: Proraso Red AS: Mennen AFTA/ Old Spice Dog ??? My very 1st shave was Sept. (1953), all peach fuzz, using a Gem or Pal SE, a mug/brush, my older cousin`s (he was teaching me) ended in a blood bath. This morning`s shave ended in the same fashion, with weepers all over. Today started like a `A bad day at black rock` Woe is me. I took the top blade out, and will try again in the morning. Mean while, I`ll look for their return policy. I did 2 full passes, WTG/ATG and a styptic pencil that I had to use all over my face. Finally finished up with my `Guard` and a pretty good shave. (Day 2) Parker 94r razor Gillette Spoiler blade Maison Lambert Silver Tip brush Williams SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Colorado Sage cologne Another nice shave with Williams SS. The Maison Lambert brush is really big and needs a lot longer to load but makes a nice lather very easily. It is really soft and feels so good on the face. My face is happy. An amazing BBS finish from ear to ear. The WCS Oriental has a very nice spiced rose scent with a semi light vanilla like touch with a deep and rich woods scent. A lovely, lovely scented cream that was just a bit weaker than the Chypre that I used yesterday. Performance again, solid with a good lather that provides more than enough glide and protection. The Wholly Kaw splash was just icing on the cake. Have a great evening and great shaves Gents....
