OK, I got sucked into this one by another thread. I jumped on this Acme 5/8 straight razor. It looks like it will clean up very well.

A tube of Proraso Blue
2 Barber Towels

 

Looks pretty good overall. I have always wondered what ACME stands for.

It may just be that they are using the literal meaning of "ACME" as in the ultimate embodiment of something, same as "Zenith".

Conversely, avoid any product with the name "Nadir".

It used to be used many years back in the looney toone days as A Company that Makes Everything or American Company that Makes everything lol. It was just a way to brand every item they used or held or even blew up. Miss those days!
