Thanks Rick. My analogy makes more sense when put in context like that. Besides, I kinda suspected Neal and the Cartel had ties to the Romulans.
We have Lather Catcher and Schick Injector in a tie for first with Clog Pruf close in third. All are babies,. by the way.

Great pic, Keith! Had my first sniff of Arlington this past weekend in a store. Nice, classic scent. How is the performance for you?
Once I dialled it in the soap is a very good performer, and the scent is a classic British cologne. It is a very dense creme and the tub lasts a long time. In short I do recommend it.
Today's shave. I was feeling puckish so what better scent than full on licorice... All I can say about the Glacial Obsidian is that the menthol comes at you like a freight train .... going down hill ... with a tail wind... and rocket engines.... Wow ithis stuff's strong but... my skin's never felt better. Line up: My focus E2 Fatboy on 5 with an Astra Platinum (shave 3 on this blade). My focus Razorock synthetic brush. Ogala Bay Rum Sandalwood as a preshave ( not sure if it's necessary or not but its scent wasn't exactly a winner for me as an aftershave and figured I'd use it up as a preshave) Glacial Obsidian soap. My trusty alum block. Glacial Osisian AS. Short but sweet shave review. I found the Obsidian very thirsty today but after a little work got the usual Stirling outstanding lather. Only used 2 passes. Not necessary to go any further. At first I thought my skin was getting extremely irritated. After a couple of minutes I figured out it was the high menthol content of the Obsidian. This stuff is strong.. Did a careful 2 pass shave then a double cold water rinse. The alum block didn't sting... my face was still kind of numb from the menthol. Took about a minute then hit it with the Obsisian AS. The menthol rush phase 2... I think if I'd gone outside and it was windy I might have fainted... but in a good way With a smile on my face. Fun scent, fun shave, face feels fine.
GEM G Bar Maggard Plissoft Stirling Florida Water I realized tonight that in the busyness of life over the last couple of months, shaving had fallen back into a routine for me. It's been quite some time since I have just relaxed and enjoyed a shave. I was coming due for a head and face shave, and decided to luxuriate a bit. I stuck with the theme and went with a SE and Stirling. I remembered that I had a few samples stuck in plain metal tins that got stuck in the back of a cabinet a while back. I reached in and grabbed one. The labels had fallen off, so I'm not positive of the scent, but I'm pretty sure it was the Sunflower Fields I bought for my wife some time ago. It's pretty floral, but I'm secure so I bloomed the mess out of it, loaded up the best lather i have had in a while, and went to work. Three nice, slow passes to glory. Spoken by a guy who sells ice cream. Not sure if there's a van involved or not. By the way, if we added chocolate bunnies to the cookies would that be a better scam....er.......deal?
SEptember is a Stirling month! September 4 Razor - Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf Blade - CVS Carbon SE (3) Soap - Stirling Executive Man Brush - Stirling Pro Style Synthetic Finish - Alum- Another time warping shave as I actually completed the shave just barely after midnight, though it counts for the 4th, not the 5th. I thought I'd be home a bit earlier than that tonight but that last delivery ran me long. At least it smelled good while I had it in the car. Shave four on the Clog Pruf with CVS carbon blade. The blade is still smooth and noisy though a couple of times I might have detected just a shade of a tug. Nothing to worry about. I'll get the 5th shave out of it tomorrow. The Treet blades came in today so they'll be loaded up after this one is done. Nothing wrong with the CVS blades. I just like the Treet better. Two passes and touch ups. Stirling soap and brush. Excellent all the way around. Finish was a very high level DFS with quiet alum. Fine, fine way to end a busy day. I'm seeing some interesting things that popped up here today so I'll try to catch up a bit while I eat. Have a great Wednesday!
SEptember 5, 2018 Cobra Classic Feather Pro SOC Mistura Taj Soapy Science Lollipop Citrus Myrsol Limon A guy could get used to these short work weeks. Everything just worked well this morning. Three passes and touch ups just missed the baby without really trying. A splash of Limon and I am off to fight the morning traffic. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
Nice reports, gentlemen! Chocolate bunnies are always popular amongst the younger crowd. As for old fogies like us, I’d opt for the parfait...
SOTD September 5, 2018 A Stirling SEptember Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Schick Razor: Schick G1 injector Brush: Surrey badger Soap: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Sharp Dressed Man aftershave Nice and easy! Fantastic scent from Stirling's Sharp Dressed Man and beautiful lather as usual. Swiped it all away with ease from the G1 injector. Silky finish from the aftershave and all went together quite well. I like these easy work morning shaves. Have a great day!
