Sat 7th Sept Omega 11137 Lea Classic soap ES Claymore V1 + S/S Handle Schick Proline [ 6 ] Lea Classic A/S Lotion Very pleased that unlike many other users I have kept hold of this Razor, just get the angles right anti shaves as well as Razors double the price, and it provides the weight that Alu Razors do not. May well be a bit of a monster but gives me a smooth, comfortable and ultra close Shave without any problems.
Pre: Warm water splash Brush: Omega 11137 Boar Soap: Cyril R. Salter Tallow Razor: Blackland Sabre L2 Blade: Pal Super CS Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Myrsol Blue ASL A very nice Saturday morning shave and for those of you out there who think boars brushes aren't worth the wait.. ..invest a couple of bob in one of these and be patient. Of course ymmv.
The grommet presse, like the razor and the blade, are from the beginning of the last century. And the 3 work very well.
SOTD September 8, 2018 A Stirling SEptember Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: vintage Personna twin Razor: eBarbershop Type O clone Brush: Ever Ready 100T restored badger Soap: Stirling Weekend in Malibu Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Coconut Lime aftershave First use of this Type O clone. I ordered it promptly when eBarbershop announced they were closing. The razor arrived yesterday and I put it to use this morning. Paired it with a vintage Personna twin blade and ended up with a smooth shave. I need some more shaves to form a full opinion of the razor but I enjoyed it on the maiden voyage. Have a great day!
Jamie, I used one of those blades this morning. I have that exact dispenser thanks to @Screwtape who generously sent some around a year or so ago. Where do you get all your vintage injector blades? Do you scour the bay?

That is Mr. Guy. He was a original TOSTer. I like how he holds the razor and all. No need for the blade work to load one. Get the blade behind the stops and twist the head down. easy peasy.
Veddy nice shave this morning. Building a backup travel setup. First use for this G3. Derby Lavender in the blue tub. That brush is a referb by @GarnerPW . Pinaud Special Reserve finished things up.

Sun 9th Sept Omega 11126 boar Speick Active Mongoose B3 Feather Pro [ 4 ] La Toja A/S lotion I had just about decided that perhaps the Feather Pro was not the blade for me. However, todays Shave changed my mind, I have some excellent Shaves over the last 3 days but today topped them all. The Razor/Blade combo worked really well with the Speick, and I totally enjoyed a Super Sunday Morning Shave - easy, smooth, comfortable etc etc , a good Face Stroker.
Pre: Warm water splash Brush: Shavemac TSR 2015 ST Soap: De Vergulde Hand Razor: Gem MMCP Blade: Pal Super CS Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Razorock American Barber ASL A lovely Sunday morning shave. I really like this soap but every time I use it, about half an hour later, I think, should've used a balm. Damn my dodgy memory. Happy Shaving one and all.
I see variations of the MMOC & MMCP... What is the difference between the gold (brass?) and silver (nickel plated?) ones?
Most or The gold MMOC is usually ( or perhaps always??) found absent the bumps on the baseplate made to accommodate the spineless double edge blades. I'm not aware of any design changes among the Clog-Pruf.
Since the double edge blades were introduced a year after the razor, the bumpless design would be older. My gold weighs 1g more than the chrome. I use a twin injector blade as a shim in my gold because in theory there should be a difference (or ASR wouldn't have bothered with the change), but honestly if there's a difference I don't notice it. That may be because modern GEM blades have thinner spines than they did in 1932.
Thank you for the information! I'm looking forward to receiving a MMOC! In the mean time, I'm just finding out a bit about the razor, like you do!
