Welcome! I'm glad you're here with us. We're all here to learn along with you, help you, cheer you on, and have some fun. You'll soon find yourself helping other newbies. In the meantime, feel free to spread cheer and instigate shenanigans as you see fit. @NCoxSTL is our fearless leader. He'll be around shortly to say hello. As I understand, the judge placed social media limitations on him during his home incarceration. @wchnu gets a bit growly at times, but he's really a teddy bear. Just praise Williams soap and any razor that looks like it's 200 years old, and he'll be your friend. Shavettes are fun to use, and it's very rewarding to master them. You'll be amazed at your progress over the next few weeks.

Glad you found The 30 Day Crew. We're a rowdy bunch but there haven't been any fires lately and all the injuries are generally of the self harm type. If you've lurked TSD for long I'm guessing you've seen the Shave of the Day thread. We go way beyond that. Besides posting photos and listing our gear, you'll hear about issues. Generally and in keeping with the reason we joined up - it's shaving related chatter. Those guys that only post in SOTD hardly ever discuss nicks, razor burn, bad set downs, or anything that leads to blood on steel. It happens here enough we commissioned a soap & aftershave to celebrate. Along with that there's a sharing of news about our family life, work related stuff, pets and BBQ's (not necessarily the same discussion). This is an unhijackable thread. So if something is puzzling you don't be shy. Did you say you're shopping for your first brush?
