  1. streamline is heavy, and super cool looking. But I have to say not worth the 90 bucks I spent... and yes NOT intuitive like many other SE's. I actually don't get all the hype..it's rare and very cool looking, but not a outstanding shaver that deserves the money it's getting lately

  2. I rate it very highly now but you're right the price they're fetching is ridiculous.
The same thing is happening with the Gibbs adjustable, the price is getting silly.

  4. I like the O clone fairly well. Only used it twice up to this point, so a full opinion can't be formed yet. It has worked well those two times. I went ahead with a twin blade. Seems like it will be quite tame with a single blade. But I've enjoyed it so far.

  6. I think that if you got a good cased one for $90, not a bad price. I really learnt how to Shave with a Streamline, and get excellent shaves with them. Shown is my best one- for which I paid a similar amount to you.I have acquired a lot of clamshell models and sold them on to members
of other forums for a max of $75. I agree that some of current selling prices are ridiculous. Persevere with it and you will be pleased with its performance.

Fat Friday detour of a Stirling SEptember

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Personna
    Razor: Schick B1 injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

Nice shave with the B1. This is one of those silent razors. Watch the angle and you'll be rewarded with terrific whisker cutting. Terrific all around. Have a great day!

    eBarbershop Schick O Clone
    Schick Twin Blade

    FD Old Spice AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Eureka Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #314 badger brush. I did two passes with the eBarbershop Schick O Clone Safety Razor with a Schick Twin Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with FD Old Spice AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
  12. Not Cased - and in Good conditon - little brassing and some scratchs. I get good shaves for sure - but i get better shaves from the 1914 or the MMOC - those are my favorite GEM style shaves - the Streamline does not give me enough blade feel.. But still a great shave...

  13. Just got a MMOC, Ever Ready 1912 and a Shick G. Can I load a blade into any empty Schick and use it? Or do I need to load a blade and load a second one? I remember reading that the first blade would end up damaged somehow!
  14. Just watch that the blade doesn't rub on the stops when you inject it. If it does you'll have to cycle another one through

  16. If you have a magnifying glass or a jewellers loupe you can look at the edge.
If not, shave with it, if it's rough change it.

  17. I suppose I'll have to shave a few more times with the MMOC before I can move on to the Schick... One shave and change doesn't really do the beast any justice!
  18. The MMOC is my favourite Micromatic and one of my favourite razors, just steer and let gravity do the work.
jtface, PLAla and clint64 like this.
  19. The MMOC is worth every second spent getting the hang of it. I'm not convinced the design has yet been bettered.
