  4. September 21st
    Razor: Timeless Bronze SB
    Blade: Astra SP(2)
Brush: Envy White Supreme 8 Ball
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: Stirling Bay Rum
    Stirling Bay Rum witch hazel
    AS: DCCS Winter Blend

Great shave to start the day! Two pass with touch up, DFS result.

New aftershave in the den. I looked at this one awhile back but it was out of stock at the time. I had forgotten about it until one of our local enablers, @wristwatchb reminded me of it. Terrific scent! The bourbon is at the forefront during initial application then quickly disappears and settles into a cinnamon, bay with a bit of clove. I like it.

    Have a great Friday! [IMG]

  10. Having gone through an addition a couple of years ago I can attest to the fact that it can, in fact, go slower than glacially slow. If you’ve got any forward movement at all, you are actually ahead of the game. Partway through the project, the addition was not flashed properly to the old part of the house (temporary flashing job which just happened to coincide with a rainstorm that brought 8 inches of rain that night) and we were flooded out of our kitchen and had to replace the entire kitchen and all the floors in the existing part of the house. In the end it is worth it, you just need to stay away from knives intended for Hari-Kari use in the meantime.

My brush is set to arrive today, which means he will no longer be taunting me with that Semogue bush, and will be free to enable others, Clint.

Umm... Awkward... Although I gotta admit... I like big brushes and I cannot lie...
  11. Yeah, it felt awkward as I typed it. I was careful to double check my spelling of brush. It would have been really awkward to leave the r out.

  12. What a beautiful setup and photo, Jim. I bet the folks at the Derby City Chop Shop would love to have your photo framed for their shop. I agree with your assessment of the Shave Tonic. It's good stuff. I gave my bottle to a friend, and I need to restock at some point.

Have a great day, my friend.
  13. Thank you Jim.

  19. No worries, Joseph. I didn't let on that you accompanied us. An overnight business trip, correst? ;)

But next time, dear fellow, please don't address the Prince as Chuck. Egad! I don't care how many pints you've downed. You simply must disown that outrageous Man Card and embrace the Gentleman's Code of Honor.

  20. Today’s shave encouraged me that I may be able to find the baby with the straight. I am not there yet, but continue to get a closer and closer shave every day. I feel that after a long uphill battle, it seems to be downhill from here. Still some irritation to resolve with more practice and better technique, but A really nice shave this morning. I also think I’ve dialed in the correct strokes and blade angles to conquer my neck stubble. I think it’s just time and practice from here on out, hopefully.
