Equinox Shavette Derby Premium blades Cremo Nivea Post Shave Balm All in all, not a bad shave today. It is getting easier with each shave and I feel more comfortable using both hands. I'm going to start looking at some straight razors and a strop sometime soon but will stick with the shavette for now.
We all have bad shaves from time to time. No worries. You're on the right track with your technique by evaluating what variables matter and by modifying accordingly as you go along. You'll have another chance in a couple of days. If you suspect the blade is done, go ahead and toss it. They're cheap, and it would be a shame if you let a dull blade spoil another shave. Close, comfortable everyday shaves are truly possible once your technique is dialed in. Keep on learning and having fun!
Why thank you, John. While your soap enabling (well, I guess I did solicit advice) might not work today , I did place an order with APShave Co earlier after your excellent SynBad review...
What these guys said... Ditch that blade after 3 shaves tops! I would just like to say, that without the guys on this thread I would not be where I am today with my shaving. I have gone from only being able to shave every other day with a Merkur 34c, to shaving daily with a Micromatic Open Comb... Allegedly a face-eating razor. This is all down to the advice of good lather, no pressure, skin stretching and ditching a blade after 3 shaves whilst you are learning. You can push the longevity of the blade as you become more experienced.
Oh, I believe your cookies are real, Brian. I just don’t believe that cartel cookies are real (with the exception of propaganda cookies distributed by the czar to keep the proletariat in line). If you recall, the cookies you sent me were disavowed by the Cartel and your loyalty was questioned. Just saying...
As much as I love pictures of Andrew‘s boys on Friday (and I do), I decided to offset the Friday testosterone with a little estrogen from our household. No not mine... I know Charlie was going to suggest this, so I’m striking preemptively. Anyway here’s a pic of MacKenzie and Katie getting ready for spirit day for the Kings Academy Lions football team tonight. MacKenzie will be performing with the “junior cheerleading squad” composed of volunteers from K-5 elementary students who will join the varsity cheerleaders for a cheer before the football game.
Wow.....you and I get the last two!!! Well, as it should be...the President and Veep of a major TSD "firm".
I had this in my cart three times, before I pulled the trigger. It's so inexpensive, that it's worth a try. Make sure to bloom it...
I wish the LGS owner Robb Phillips well. With his courteous e-mails and the success of his soaps, I'd like to see him come over to join Doc Ezlovan at Stoylin. But then it's a long haul from California to Booneville.
Careful-we recall Charlie setting up a survey question dedicated to you. I believe the gentleman might not be above doing it again.
