A couple of firsts today, the Christopher Bradley by Karve Shaving Co. and Uplift by The Sudsy Soapery.
This is a marvelous little razor, smooth, efficient, well balanced and attractive, yes I'm still talking about the KCB, now I know why it has so many fans.
When I found out one of my favourite veggie soaps had made a tallow version I had to try it, even though someone on YouTube had said it smells like Lemon Pledge. I'd describe it as a slightly less sweet, creamy Lemon Sherbet.
I really like the performance and the post shave is also excellent and even though it's definitely a summer soap, it'll see action over autumn and winter unless of course they release another scent.
    Have a great weekend.

    Cold Water Wash
    De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap
    Alpha T-400 Silvertip Badger
    Wade & Butcher 5/8
    CWR
    Clubman Pinaud AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Alpha T-400 Silvertip Badger brush. I did two passes with the Wade & Butcher 5/8 and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Clubman Pinaud AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  7. Great lineup and I really like that you combine fragrances to finish off your shave. I think this shaving hobby and the fragrance hobby are fantastically interchangeable.

My first shave with a non pivot razor in awhile. Really felt good (like old times). A 2 pass, WTG/ATG with some touch ups. Some small shakes on the first pass, 2 small weepers, the cold water took care of them. Pretty smooth on the 2nd pass as long as I went slow and precise. As great as the `Guard` is, I still want to shave like a kid of 40 or 50 again. As for the shave itself, a definite BBS, even got the wild hairs on my neck. `Happy Days Are Here Again`.
God Bless each of you with as great a shave as mine.

  13. Very Fine shave, if even on a sad endeavor.
Y'all pray for my mother please. She's in need of a stay in a nursing facility, hopefully short term for physical therapy. She has several problems stemming from diabetes and a-fib, add Crohn's, and an uphill struggle to regain normal health. It aches me to see my Mom in such a weak state. Thanks in advance for prayers.
    Today I had,
    Hot water wash
    Alpha T-400/silvertip
    Fine Lavender por homme
Grand Shave King self lubricating razor
    Astra sp (2)
    Crusella&co Lavanda
    Dr. Teal's lavender body lotion
    Fine Lavender por homme aftershave
(Not in pic) Polo 2 red
I made a nice lather, made my three passes with the GSK. It felt uber light compared to the heavy metal gear I've been using. Iforget how loud the little GSK is. But it decimated any trade of stubble I had. Next I got a wash of cold water and a crusella lavanda rinse. I rubbed with the lotion and left it while I brushed teeth. Towel off and a final spash of Fine. Spritz of polo, dress and I'm physical ready, mentally I'm putting on the best face I can.
Hope y'all got as good a shave, or better.
Gotta cherish the moments we have, the alternative is difficult to face. 20180922_105634_resized.jpg
  14. Lovely blue colours. :happy088:
  15. Razor: Ever-Ready SE w/case 2 Blade Banks
    Blade: Personna GEM
Brush: El Druida Mopane 2 Band Badger.
    Soap: Stirling Cool
    A/S: Stirling Eucalyptus Mint

Another outstanding shave. The Ever-Ready performed perfectly, while the soap, brush, and aftershave worked to perfection.
    No doubt a BBS shave.

  17. Game Changer 84/Supermax BDT (1). First shave seems a bit less efficient than the Karve D or Blackbird but it's way way smoother than both, and I prefer the weight and balance of the GC with the de-knobbed Halo. And holy cannoli is this thing good looking. Very pleased.[IMG]
