Up a bit late this morning and due out early, so chose the British Version of the G Bar for a quick Shave. I know that it is on the light side for me to get an ultra close Shave without a lot of work. However it Shaves very smoothly
and delivered a more than satisfactory finish for officiating at Trackside.

After driving to the venue it was decided that due to incessant heavy rain it was unsafe to continue, so the event was cancelled. I was quite pleased as I got soaked through on Saturday, and the thought of 6/7 hours in the rain was not appealing.

A great way to kick off the week and a reminder that great soaps and splashes can be had cheaply.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

    Menthol Monday's Shave

    Cold Water Wash
    Fine Snake Bite
    Jayaruh #319
    Bunny V3 Injector
    Schick Proline B20 Blade
    CWR
    Osage Rub

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Fine Snake Bite Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #319 brush. Using the NOTSO comb, I did two passes with the Bunny V3 Injector Razor with a Schick Proline B20 Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Something that was brought up across the street. I kinda hate to get behind Toby's idea....but it makes sense.

Why do we say open comb Micro Matic?? Why not just micro matic? That was the only MM until the Clog Pruf came along. Then the Flying Wing. Would it not be proper to just say MM for the original open comb model?

I suppose it's like film franchises, we say Godfather 1, when it was just The Godfather.
Unnecessary clarification but does no harm imo.
Why do some (e.g me) say MMOC and others say OCMM?

I've always just said micromatic, for exactly that reason.

    Gem OCMM - brass
    Schick Proline [ 3 ]
    Tuff Red A/S Lotion

After using my ER Se razors for a week plus, decided to try out some Gem ones. I picked out the OCMM, which still
had a Schick Proline in it, from when I had a couple of experimental Shaves.

I recall that these Shaves were good so kept the Proline in the Razor. The Shave was very smooth and the combo was very forgiving, so that a quick shave was implemented ver y easily. The quality of the finished Shave was very good, IMHO superior to those I get with my V1 Supply SE fitted with a V2 No 3 plate. I do not know how it would compare to a Minigoose, but it is a lot cheaper and this one being brass should last a lifetime.

I use OCMM...just like I use OCDamaskeene. Not sure why!

I think that I will be also going forward.
