  3. hello fello shavers, tuesday night shave..
49-50 canadian fh tech razor, definitely milder than my usual techs i use.will need to use it more, nacet blade..
been a while since i lathered a hard soap, so out came the fine american blend and omega 10098, used the stone field shaving bowl.
soaked the brush for 10 and loaded for 30 sec.thirsty soap but i am sure i need to use it more to dial it in .
comfy 3 pass dfs shave. no drama. could hardly feel the blade. ,but whiskers be gone..fine splash to finish...
have a great day, gary 20180925_194405.jpg

  5. I will have to start hauling my shave gear over to my study area and photographing it with my old digital camera again, at least until I get a new tablet that will upload photos properly to replace this clunker PlayBook.

Yes, I sold the Kent BK12 this week, pending funds anyway. The fact that Landys Chemists in the UK just started dumping its stock of NIB BK12s on eBay at or even below dealer's cost didn't help. (US $165 shipped internationally if anyone is interested... That's $90+ below normal retail...)

Now I just need to find a buyer for my used-for-one-shave Thiers Issard SR...
  6. Talk about a potential time warp. Long and convoluted night of hauling food around the greater STL area. I also had a very rude driver follow me for a few miles on the way home and he finally flashed his lights repeatedly at me. I have no idea why they were all red and blue, but it was rather irritating. Seriously, a Chesterfield P.D. officer pulled me over as I was on my way home for driving a bit too fast down the interstate. I didn't think we even had a speed limit on interstates around here. I got lucky in two ways, though. First of all, he asked me as he told me why he stopped me, and I quote, "is there anything in your car that I should know about?" About a dozen potential answers went through my mind including......."you mean the dead hooker in the back?" Or, how about, "You mean that 10 kilos of heroin wrapped inside the bundles of oxy?" You get the idea. So the first piece of luck? I managed to shortcut the path to my brain and answer "No sir". Boring, I know, but it saved a major hassle I'm sure. The second piece of luck? I drew the cop that gives warnings so no harm no foul.

Anyway, I said all that to say "potential time warp". It's late. I'm tired. No shave tonight boys and girls. I'll catch you tomorrow and make up for my laziness. Have a great Wednesday!

Another excellent shave this morning. Two passes with touch ups caught the baby easily. A splash of Grand Bay and I am off to a client site for the day. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

  12. Great shave and photo Jim. How is the new brush working out for you?

Wonderful photo Perry. I hope this week has been easier for you than last week.

  19. Thank you, Clint. I'm really liking the brush. Soft tips and enough backbone to get the job done. I was reluctant to comment on it the first time you asked because I was having trouble with the scuttle at the time.
