September 27, 2018 O.R.E.N. V2 (2 dot plate) Feather Pro Super SOC Mistura Taj Sterling R4L A wonderful shave to start a very busy day. The Stirling R4L smells amazing. The vetiver and citrus scent is very well done. Two passes and touch ups just missed the baby. A splash of the matching aftershave and I am off to face the day. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.
September 27th Razor: Timeless Bronze SB Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2) Brush: Envy White Supreme 8 Ball Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: Stirling Barbershop Stirling Orange Chill witch hazel AS: Stirling Barbershop Good morning! Another Stirling shave to start the day. Two pass with touch up. DFS. This is my last shave of the month with the Timeless Bronze. I'm going to start OCtober a little early. Switching to the Blackbird OC. I figured it would be prudent to get some warm up in with a few patient shaves before Monday morning's pre work shave. Have a great day! Have a fantastic trip with your family, Perry! It has been fun riding along with you in SEptember. http://peglegpetes.com/ https://www.petrellasitaliancafe.com/
Most of the fancy older vintage pencils were bigger leads than 0.5mm -- either 0.7, 0.9, or 1.1mm. Sheaffer did used to make a very nice twist-advance 0.5mm though in its line of metal white-dot instruments. I don’t know if it still does.
Thanks John. Please share a photo of your writing instruments when you can. I'd like to see if we can enable @clint64 with a new hobby.
Great reports and photos to show us how it's done and start our Thursday off right, gentlemen! Neal @NCoxSTL (or anybody else), I have been meaning to ask: what does Stirling Sheep smell like?
Thanks, Clint! Wonderful photo! Glad you're enjoying the R4L set. Thanks, Jim! Nice shave and photo, Jim!
Thanks, Charlie! Appreciate the links. We will be in Perdido Key, Florida, only about 0.5 mile from the Alabama/Florida border. Our favorite restaurant down there is Fishers Upstairs. www.fishersobm.com.
I don't have a wide enough angle lens to show them... the truth is, I have no idea how many fountain pens I have, never mind the straight dip pens, mechanical pencils or just plain ballpoints. I know I am definitely somewhere well over 200 in fountain pens alone... Like I said, that rabbithole makes the vintage razor one I went down later look positively shallow.
Thank you Jim. Another wonderful photo Jim. I really like the looks of the brush with its modern take on a vintage look.
No interest in that hobby. Now with enough bourbon tours while visiting Maya, I could end up with another hobby for sure.
