Don't forget Scots Pine Sheep. Out of the scented mutton tallow soaps it tops my list, but still not a favorite. The others I can do if I follow up with an Aqua Velva Overcoat afterwards. Except Port au Prince, I just can't find a way to like vetiver.

The unscented Sheep became my best option.

Yeah, I went and looked too. They don’t have most of the Stirling scents I want - and don't carry them in samples at all - but they have Mike's Natural Soaps and Mickey Lee Soapworks as well as all of the B+M Reserve line and the PannaCrema Nuavia entries... You and your suggestions, Jason...

A fantastic shave to start a long weekend. Two passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. A splash of Fine Lavender and I am ready for the day. My wife and I are off to the University of Kentucky for parent's weekend. We are both looking forward to seeing Maya. As a bonus, we scored tickets for the football game Saturday night as well. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

It was a well-hit ball, no doubt Jason. Not everything can have a "happy ending".

I got back from Cincinnati a couple of days ago, but I am still recovering. There isn't quite like sitting in meetings with 30 other engineers discuss motor data sheets followed by three days of engineer presentations. I am glad to be back home. It was smooth shave this morning with the Hawk and some Speick. I hope everyone has a great day!

I kind of like the OCtober open comb theme. I only have one OC, a PAA Bakelite slant. I usually get great shaves with it, but have never stuck with it for more than a couple of days at a time. I have no Oleo, but plenty of oddballs that haven’t been in my rotation much lately. I always remember why I bought them when I pull them out, though.

As for September, two more shaves. My current blade may barely make it—it started feeling a little tight this morning.

    Lovely color theme, Neal!
So when I face lather a heavily loaded, big (destroyer class or larger), brush I do it like this. After loading I paint the soap on my face until I have a nice thick layer everywhere. Then I will dip the tips of the brush in the water and proceed to paint the water into the soap on my face until the soap begins to turn translucent. Once you can start to see a bit of skin through the soap you can start the process of building the lather, adding even more water as you go. Using this method I've been able to get the lather into a super goop consistency while face lathering.
Excellent photo, Clint! Enjoy your time in the Bluegrass State with Maya!
    Exquisite photo, Jim!
I bet you were glad to be back home and spend some time with the family! Excellent shave, Jim!
