October 4, 2018 Wolfman Ti OC 0.74mm with Triad Ti Feather Simpson CH2 Synthetic Soapy Science Lollipop Citrus Myrsol Agua de Limón A change of razor and brush for the next several days, the Wolfman OC in Ti with a 0.74mm blade gap and the infamous "Soap Destroyer". As expected the "Soap Destroyer" tore through the Soapy Science and whipped up a wonderful lather. I decided to go with a traditional 3 pass shave and caught the baby after buffing my lower right neck. Between the 2 Wolfman razors this is the one I enjoy the most which is ironic considering I didn't care for it in the beginning. A splash of Agua de Limón and I am off to the office. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.
Thank you both. I am running late this morning. Had to give Mocha her meds and such. She is doing a little better each day. I hope her progress continues.
Thank you, Joseph! I have no heard about the screw on the handle. What is the difference? I had always assumed the Sheratons were gold plated and the Senators were nickel plated.
Here you go Jim. https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/aristocrat-sheraton-senator-gillettes-tto-open-comb-discussion-thread.50554/
OCtober 4th Cooper MonoBilt w 7 O’Clock Blues (3) B&M Lavanille SS VieLong Horse/Vintage Rubberset Thayers CL Gratiot League Sq AS 4th day with the MonoBilt, 3rd with this blade. Pulled out the Lavanille sample for ‘odds and ends’. I know this is one of those Love it or Hate it B&M scents and I am on the Love it side. Had a very pleasant 2+ pass shave, but am sitting here an hour later itching the left side of my neck. Not sure why, but there is quite a bit of redness. All products that I have used multiple times, so there should be no irritants. I hope my skin issues that I dealt with a year ago haven’t returned. Have a great day all!
Thank you, Clint. The before and after pics of this razor are the best advertisements for a replate I can think of.
Beautiful gear, Clint. Glad to hear Mocha is doing a little better as well. Love the look of those Simpson Chubbies. I’ve purchased my first ‘large’ synthetic knot- a 30mm SynBad- and will be making a chubby handle sometime when I get a chance.
Quite a few great shave reports and pics already today, gentlemen! Too many to list individually. However: Jim @Norcalnewb, always enjoy the filter effects on your photos. That's a really nice razor you have. I don’t have a Gillette OC TTO in my collection and would like to score a nice Aristocrat, Senator or Sheraton...Someday... Clint @clint64, great photo and good to know Mocha continues to improve. Do you have to feed her pills and if so, how do you do it? I have had to resort to recruiting my niece to help get pills down my cat -- I sit on the cat on the floor to hold him in place and open his jaws and shove the pill in while she holds his front paws so he can't claw me... Jason @jtspartan, as usual your bowl photographs beautifully and frames your other shavegear nicely. The irritation isn't caused by the horsehair, is it?
Nice report, Gary. BTW, I believe that Canadian Blade Co soap is made by Soapy Bathman. As his own brand isn’t currently available, yours may be the only Soapy Bathman soap available right now.
I'll have my work cut out for me tomorrow-three reviews to do from the same shave!! Actually, make that 4, as one of the companies has ALREADY sent me a review request.
