Wonderful photo, Jim! I need to use the Palmolive stick soon. Great soap! I agree with you that fall should be in the air but yesterday felt like mid August! Oh well. Nice shave!
Me too. I especially wonder about it when I'm using either a military-issue razor or a less plebeian (proletarian?) consumer one (e.g., an Aristocrat or Milord).
Thank you Jim. Wonderful picture Jim. I’ve been curious about A&E soaps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Review #1 of the 3 for this thread is-Tobacco&Leather aftershave: (Maggard As I noted in a previous post, I saw a couple of reviews of this in the Maggard site that said they thought there was too much leather. I say too much TOBACCO. It entered my face like a fireball-I'm trying to recall the last aftershave where I got that feeling. Settled down after maybe 20 minutes. There is indeed a leather scent, but it has a bit of a medicinal scent mixed in. I find that interesting because one of Maggard's key focuses with aftershaves is to calm the face&neck, as if to "make them feel better"(my quote). I think with that thick tobacco scent I'll wait til December/January to use it next. I now wonder how this might compare to Stoylin's Texas On Fire. I'm glad to have this, but as I say, it's definetly meant for winter use(according to my face).
Feel free to drop a link or name the Forum. Fuzzy's across the street? I like the take/leave style. Gives the opportunity for trying out and keeping if you like. The originator will finish with the possibility of getting back a completely different set.
Thank you, Clint. I'm happy with the performance of A&E and would like to try more of their scents. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Review #2-Tobacco Lounge shavesoap(Local Gent) Something went wrong with my first pass-hardly any of the soap got on to the brush. That could have been my fault, as I dropped the brush into the sinkwater before getting it into the puck for loading. Thus the first pass didn't go well, but I came into stride with the second. Better job of loading. I thus got the clean fresh feel I expected from a Local Gent soap. From November on, I'll be "grandfathering" this soap, as LG has said they are going out of business at the end of this month. That will lead to a lot of grandfathering on my part, as I will wait on using it again until later in the year(as it gets colder). Good soap.
Well, of course that's where he is.. his 5-call letter radio station(bearing his TSD screename)was built in that location.
