Another morning sitting in an airport. This time it’s different. I have my wife with me and we are flying to my daughter’s wedding. It is also my youngest daughter’s 25th birthday and we will get to see her as well. I’m excited. Have a great weekend guys. I stumbled onto this forgotten razor this morning and forgot what a nice shaver it is. Cella Shave Soap Portland Razor Company Brush Dubl Duck Dwarf Lucky Tiger Ogallala Bay Rum After Shave Happy Friday!
Wow. What a huge weekend, Brian. I trust everything will go superbly, and best wishes for a safe trip.
SOTD OCtober 5th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave PAA SS DOC Ascension Treet New Steel (2) Yaqi Professional (30mm, Cruiser Class) PAA Pineapple Bay Rum soap & AS My shave this morning featured a PAA trio and a rather unique take on bay rum. Off the tub Pineapple Bay Rum smells a lot like Juicy Fruit gum, once lathered the bay rum starts to make more of an appearance. A nice heavy load into the Cruiser Class Yaqi and then into the Drydock lather bowl where I proceeded to to turn the soap into a nice, creamy, super goop lather. The lather was super slick and made the perfect medium for my SS DOC Ascension to glide effortlessly across my face. With the Ascension opened up a quarter turn I was able to use a much shallower angle which really made for a more comfortable and closer shave. Second shave on the 5 cent Treet blade brought home the baby. I finished with a splash of the Pineapple Bay Rum AS. The Bay Rum in the AS has a much more forward presence then the soap, it also has a bit of a tingle to it which faded after about 5 minutes. Have a great weekend my friends! TGIF!!
That's a beautiful tribute to your Mother, Neal. Whether there is sadness or not, I will still offer my condolences. Its hard to lose your Mom.
@NCoxSTL -very sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. As you know, I lost mine a little over a year ago, and reading your wonderful and thoughtful comments about her, I find they were similar in many ways...how they lived, and how they died. Like your mom, mine was 88. Like your mom, mine had 2 breast cancers, however it was her second that eventually led to her death. My mom was always there to reach out to those who needed the most help. A distant relative of ours(a cousin of my Dad's)wrote a note to my sister and I that we should do our best to "emulate" our parents, now that both are gone. That is something I want to do each day for the rest of my life. It's a challenge I love to meet, as they raised me to be who I am today. I do hope you can find a quality grief support program, as you begin to deal with the tragedy. The first few holiday seasons will be hard on me.
TGIF!!! Great pics and report, Andrew. I was looking at that soap and aftershave but couldn't quite grasp the scent combination. Thanks for elaborating. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
