That EverReady brush is in such fantastic shape. I have a similar EverReady brush and I want mine to have the gold lettering re-touched to be like yours if possible. That brush is really nice. Wish mine was as glossy and the gold writing as embossed as yours.

 

The brush was in fantastic shape. So I did not have to polish the handle or touch up the lettering. I just replaced the knot.

 

Excellent setup Steve! That Lavender Creeper sounds like great stuff, lavender & menthol sound like they would go well together. Their presentation is up there with Nuavia IMO, the old school vibe is pretty cool as well.

Third shave with the LC and Ladas and it was another fine one. Blade is still super smooth, finish was so close to BBS that I'll call it that, and the VDH soap with JR46 brush was as nice as anything costing twice as much or more. Hard to beat a shave like this one. One of those that reminds you just how good the vintage Gillette razors can be, how good Russian steel is and how well the "plain jane" stuff can work as well.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Arko Shaving Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #317 brush. I did two passes with the Gem Jr. Bar Safety Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Vintage English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Superb Sunday
Another excellent shave with Iced Ginger Ale. Top notch lather and slickness. The splash didn't really scent match, but the soap scent is not meant to linger much anyway.
