That's good to hear. The story about the Chicago stores reminds me of some of the Game Stops around here. Basically, GS is a similar amalgamation of stores like Funcoland, Software Etc., and Babbages. At one point, they had three different storefronts in our local mall. I know that Sleepy's seemed to have some strange ideas about how close to build stores. At one point, the Sleepy's in my area were closer together than the McDonald's or 7-Eleven's.

Glad to know the TOST door is open!

I've tried E's through M's. They generally get more mild as you go along. Is type O the last Schick before you start hitting clones made by other companies? The only one I'm still thinking about is an F. I like the aluminum handle. Don't see the early ones - A's, B's, and the like around in shops here.

Wow, Clint. That's a beautiful SC. I have no doubt that it shaves as good as it looks.

I'm sorry about the early morning alarm. I need to replace the battery in mine as well. I periodically replace the 9V backup batteries in my smoke detectors. If I don't, it's guaranteed they will start chirping some morning at 3 am. :)

Happy Birthday @NCoxSTL! Enjoy your day, my friend. Eat some of those great St. Louis BBQ ribs if you get a chance. :eatdrink020:

I'm really glad all is well with the Mattress Shop that you manage. Great news!

I have skipped shaving today and am now about to go and eat turkey with my sister's family, but before I did, I wanted to add my congratulations:

Brian @mrchick, I hope you and your family have enjoyed a great day at your daughter's wedding and that everything today has exceeded your expectations. Best wishes for a long and happy marriage to your daughter and her new husband.

Neal @NCoxSTL, Happy Birthday! Glad you are continuing to keep on trucking around the sun! Also really happy to hear that the Mattress Shop reorganization will have no immediate impact on you and yours. Carry on! You have all done very well! (As the store owner used to tell the employees regularly on the British sit-com Are You Being Served?...)

Yumm, lime. Can't say I've used this soap more than a dozen times. It give good lather, plenty slick, just not the killer loud lime scent I was hoping for. I need to find that little bottle of lime E.O. for scent boosting. The issue may be fixed in a couple days. We'll see when the package arrives. ;) So I used the Conk, was happy, and will push it to the back of the cabinet again. Got a decent face lather out of the fatty badger, and the Kai blade performed in it's smoothly sharp manner. Not sure I ever had problems with the Fatip. I like aggressive DE's, they work as intended. Three plus for an an error free DFS. Splashed on the Pinaud for the scent I wanted from the soap.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

    Hey everyone,
So I’m new here and I want to start shaving. I and have yet to shave and am getting that embarassing peach fuzz above my lip and a few chin hairs and have a few questions. A little background on me though. I’m 15, mixed (moms white dads black) and haven’t shaved before. Anyway, here are my questions
What kind of razer should I use?
How can I avoid those little red bumps?
    Any advice?
Any and all advice, tips, and tricks are welcome. I’m a huge newbie at this and would welcome anything.

Hey Michael. Welcome to the 30 Day Crew! You are in the right place. You can read the thread intro for more information, but we're basically here to help newbies learn how to consistently get great shaves. We also try to have some fun along with way. Starting out, the basic idea is to use the same razor, brand of blades, shaving brush, and shaving soap or cream for 3o days. If you'd rather start with canned shaving cream or gel, that's OK too. A lot of us here like to build our own lather with a brush, but that's not an absolute requirement. You can post your progress, questions, or challenges here on the thread. We'll help you, cheer you on, and answer any questions you might have. If you're a new shaver, you may only need to shave once or twice a week, but they same idea still applies.

The good news is that it doesn't cost a lot of money to get started. You can get great shaves with some relatively inexpensive gear.

Our fearless leader is Neal @NCoxSTL. He and some of the other hoodlums (30 DC crew members) will be around to say hello shortly.

If you want to PM me your address, I will send you some new blades and a new container of shave cream or soap to get you started. Hey 30 DC Crew, can someone send Michael a razor and a brush? Let's get this young man started off right!!
