OCtober 8th Razor: Blackbird OC Blade: Feather NHS (2) Brush: SOC Taj Mistura Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: PAA Boomtown Bay Rum Stirling Bay Rum witch hazel AS: PAA Boomtown Bay Rum Good morning! Rough start to today's shave. I went through my usual preshave routine grabbed my razor and started the first pass. Wow, a lot of blade feel this morning. A mental check of pressure and angle, looks good. Man this is down right harsh. I continued, thinking this is going to be my first mid shave blade swap. I nearly finished my first pass when I called it. Blade swap. I rinsed the razor prepping for the blade swap, set it on the counter and I saw everything shift. Monday morning bonehead. I forgot to tighten the handle before my shave. I rinse and allow my razor to dry between shaves with the handle loose, the first time I forgot to tighten it. No harm done. Two pass with touch up, DFS result. Hopefully that's the worst the week has to offer. Have a great day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Great looking shave and photo Jim. Wonderful photo. I’m glad you made it through that mistake without blood loss. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
October 8, 2018 Delta Echo Short Comb Feather Ever Ready C40 with APS Flat Top Soapy Science Lollipop Citrus Myrsol Agua de Limon Overall a good shave this morning. No blood loss or irritation but the results were not up to my normal shaves. I’ll blame it on being rushed. I hope everyone has a great Monday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great picture, Clint. Tomorrow is another day and another shave. Good luck with traffic. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I picked up 2 of the N2's at the same time. It is not my favorite actually. A good shave but there are better I agree.
So a little something in the OC range. 1918 OLD Dollar Sto' blade Stirling Spice JR 298 Synthetic Horse WH Family Dollar smells like Old Spice AS Really good shave as usual out of this razor. Even though I am a die hard SE type there is just something special about a OLD. This one is 100 years old this year so gotta love that too. On another note starting a new job today. Same ole stuff just different company. Having to get back into the swing of day shifts. WOOO!!
I'm sorry about your shave, Jim. Welcome to the club. Most of us have a story like this. I'm just glad you didn't injure yourself. Have a great week, my friend.
Die hard? You? Surely not. Great shave this morning, Fuzzy. My Dad was born in 1915, so I'm on the lookout for a couple of Old Types manufactured in that year. That's one of the reasons I like my NEW LC and SC so much. I figured he might have used one of those when he learned to shave. Good luck with you new job. Sorry about the day shift. I hope the coffee there is good and the goofballs are scarce. I'm on a road trip, and I tried some of Cafe Bustelo you spoke about in the coffee thread. It's good stuff. I'm on the lookout for a coffee and chicory blend right now and hoping that Tropical Storm Michael turns on its tail. Be safe, my friend. Hopefully, the storm will not be an issue for you.
Good morning. Yea that storm needs to go away! Careful on the trip. I have a habit of mixing some of the Cafe Bustelo and a nice dark roast with chichory. Just adds a super nice Kick. There is nota shortage of good coffee here. I will be working at a couple of Albertsons grocery stores. Keeping the parking lot clear of money beggers and helping with the loss prevention crew I think. Should be fun! Have a great day my friend.
