Another fantastic photo. What do you think of the WK soap?

  5. Thanks, Clint.
I really like the performance and I'm sure eventually I'll end up with more of their scents. I'm going to hold off buying anything until the Blackland Vector drops. Pretty sure I want that razor.

  6. I just might get in touch with the Cajun Mafia and see if I can open a branch office here in my corner of the swamp. No Sharp Stars in my den thanks to our brave Leader's efforts to keep them in the wrong hands. Thanks to Charlie's insider info/rumor I located a tuck of Rapira Plat Lux to see if it would be worth my time calling the cousins. Getting jumped into an Organization in these parts might involve mud, alligators, paddling up a bayou, etc.

  7. Thanks Clint. We're having a great time. We visited the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola today. We had the honor of taking a tour today with a retired Navy pilot. He flew some of the WWII and Korean War era aircraft that we saw today. After his time in the service, he became an Aeronautical Engineer and worked for Pratt and Whitney in the design of Vietnam War era and later aircraft that we saw also. He described prop and jet plane aircraft landings on aircraft carriers so vividly that it felt like we done them ourselves. Amazing doesn't describe it adequately. Portions of the museum are also dedicated to the historical settings of the times...complete with shaving gear. Just a really cool place. I've been there many times, and I could go back tomorrow.

  10. Sharp Stars are probably worth the alligators et.al. The price for the Cajuns just includes a payment of crawdads to Cartel HQ STL. Three pounds of mudbugs per 100 blades.

  11. OCtober OC's for sure

    Truefitt & Hill Sandalwood SS
    The King badger brush
    Gillette NEW OC w/bar handle
    Rapira Platinum Lux blade
    Pinaud Whiskey Woods AS
SOTD 10122018 1st use Pinaud Whiskey Woods AS.gif Not an odd ball soap, but special in it's own way. Chris @Bama Samurai got it from the makers shop and brought it back to The States. I didn't ask any questions. It's better to say "Thank You, Sensei" and let him be on his way. My Badger handling skill may be improving, or this soap and brush work well together. Easy face lathering experience from loading to final rinse. After reading several previous posts I already knew I didn't have any of those Sharp Stars in my blade stash. Assuming there's truth to every rumor I tried a fresh Rapira PL. Three passes, no clean up needed. Very nice finish with no errors. Even got my lower neck with little irritation. While out wandering unattended today, I picked up a new bottle of Pinaud's latest line. It's not marked "cologne" so I don't expect the same all day scent. What I got from Whiskey Woods I like.
A bit on the sweet side and I enjoy the rest, too.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

  12. My opinion, for what it's worth (throw your two pennies now) is Sharp Stars are smoother than PL. But they are very close, like most of the Mostochlegmash blades.

  20. At the Tourist rate of around $5/pound already cooked that's a decent deal. Since I'm local I prefer to purchase mine fresh off the pirogue at less than a buck a pound. That means a thirty lb sack, then add small red potatoes, onions, mushrooms, whole garlic cloves, etc. And a few friends. They bring the beer.

  21. Yeah, I actually bought the blades for it already. My first peek into the SE rabbit hole.
