Soap - Soap Commander Courage
Brush - The Canuck (apshaveco SynBad)
Post - Alum
The Canuck made its debut tonight. My newest brush courtesy of some fine Canadians who lacked enough self-control to lose a bet. Thanks guys. We can try again in '19 if you'd like! The brush looks awesome and you'd swear it was designed by only one person. The handle is great to hold and another beauty in the tradition of the LE brushes that
@jtspartan made. And
@Screwtape clearly knows synthetic knots. When he asked what kind I preferred I left it pretty open for him. Just as Indiana Jones and the Grail - he chose well.
The brush is a higher loft than my other synthetics and it's also my first flat top brush. That gave it a totally different feel when loading but I soon got the hang of it. And after the shave I squeezed enough lather out of it to send to everybody here for a few days shave. It loaded an amazing amount of the Soap Commander. And, when face lathering - talk about a soft and HUGE splay. I would swear it was high end badger. Very nice! I highly recommend this knot if you're looking for something different in a synth. The flat top seemed to allow an easier splay than the bulbs, but can also be used to paint very easily too. Really hard to go wrong with this one. And, with that handmade wooden handle - perfection.
What about the shave you say? Hey, it's the OCMM with a Treet Super. Speaks for itself. Awesome shave all around.
Packing to head to Kansas early Sunday. As in about 4 a.m. early. I'll get home from work tomorrow night about 8, eat, shave, try for bed by 10 or so then up at 3 to start the trek west. I'm taking my New LC (original finish) with a Sharp Star for the night on the road. Sterling synth brush with Sheep soap for that end of it. That will be my Sunday setup. Coming home early Monday afternoon so we'll see if there's a Monday night shave or not. Have a great Saturday!
