  8. I'm not sure whether to say CONGRATS or HERETIC! So - congrats you heretic! I've been trying to regain my composure as well after the past year's explosion of soaps. I have settled on a particular brand I prefer, as well as a couple of old favorites, so perhaps I can start by working through some of the "extra" stock of soaps I don't plan to keep using all that much if at all.

    Gem Damaskeene OC
    Gem PTFE
Ever Ready C40 with APS Flat Top
    Figaro Sapone Speciale
    Dominica Grand Bay Rum

A change of pace for the weekends with the Gem Damaskeene Open Comb. With a wonderful lather and time, I went with a traditional three pass shave. The C40 whipped up a wonderful lather easily. The sample is done but for a very small remnant that I pushed into the Stirling Bay Rum Sample. Thanks again @Primotenore for the sample. With touch ups and buffing my neck, I ended up with a perfect BBS shave. SE razors just seem to do a better job on my neck. A splash of Grand Bay and I am ready for a relaxing day at home. I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.

  10. That may be the nicest thing I've ever been called. Thanks! I'm not getting down to one brand, but I am whittling down to a handful that I already know I like, and avoiding the need to try everything that comes out. I can probably shave for ten years on what I currently have. I'm gonna try to PIF a couple, sell a few, maybe get into trades or splits or some such. I am reaching an age and life stage where simple is starting to sound really, really appealing.

Away game last night and didn't get home until just before midnight. Band contest today in Troy, Alabama which is about a 2.5 hour ride each way from our school. Going to be a long day! I'll get home probably 1:00 or 1:30am. Last contest of the season!

Great shaves and discussion on here as usual!
